When it's the middle of the night and you have no idea it's coming is the worst.
Well, my city went into local state of emergency last night, it would be icing on the cake at this point wouldn't it?
That is what happened to us but at the same time. First two inches fell in an hour, we got hit, then another inch and a half. The real shocker was first light when we realized how lucky we were to be alive after seeing the damage.
I'm scarred for life. They are the only thing that scare the sh*t out of me.
It only hit 19C yesterday when those funnels blew past the city and we did get some flooding but nothing like AB. Only an inch and a half in a little over an hour.

I'm in Calgary.. not North of Calgary..
64th Ave.. go south your get flooding, go north, Airdrie, Crossfield and you get EF1 tornadoes..
Not a worry in my mind where I live.. Thorncliff is a nice little area of Calgary.
I'm in the foothills of the Rockies..
No place is immune from tornadoes .. however more frequent in the prairie regions.. the bread basket of North America.

Good grief...........so glad to know you are okay, petros. Gotta wonder what else Mother Nature has in store for Alta and Sask............you all need a break............hope you get one soon.
