No I'm trying to explain reality to somebody with a bias. Partner means partner does it not?

What is a Joint Venture? It's a PARTNERSHIP with EnCana, Lakota and the Tha Dene nation.

You can't cherry pick the English language and add new means to words.

A joint venture is working on a project together, as EnCana states they have contracted Lakota drilling to do. It does not mean they have given them shares in an oil company, as EnCana states isn't the case.

No, it doesn't. Partner has many meanings. It can mean we're working together, or it can mean I actually own shares in your company. One is reality here, in EnCana's own words, and one is not.

EnCana has said they have contracted the Lakota Drilling company.
They don't use gibberish English in business. A partnership is a partnership.

Whatever.

I can't imagine that even if they are a contracted partner with Encana, they'd be involved in drenching a large chunk of lake, watershed, etc. in process water. And process water spillage is the issue here, not drilling rigs.

They use gibberish in PR releases all the time. But, they also stated very clearly, that what the Dene have bought, is a 50/50 share in Lakota, contracted to EnCana. Find me proof otherwise.

Ask yourself this question: Why is EnCana even mentioned in the article if this is a JV between Lakota and the Dene?

PS - It wouldn't matter if EnCana was the 'client', they wouldn't be ID'd as a 'partner'.

Petros is dead right - they use exact wording for a specific reason.

So they deliberately jaded the meanings of words to fit your agenda? That's hilarious.

I suppose if the Tha Dene partnered with Pepsi and they complained about Coca Cola using more sugar and abusing water supplies it wouldn't be Corporate hogwash because it came from the Tha even though they too are in the cola business because of a partnership?

They state very clearly that the Dene owned 50% of two drilling rigs.

and clearly stated a partnership in a joint venture with EnCana.

What's the motivation to make false statements against the competition?

Did Apache screw them over by not wanting to go into business with them?

... But EnCana just added their own fictional participation in a JV for fun?

Get real already

EnCana stated pretty clearly that they'd 'partnered' by contracting their rigs to do their drilling. I don't get why you guys find this so confusing.

You're the confused one who thinks English can be altered suit her biased needs

Hey Pete... I never told you the good news.

I just organized a JV with Husky Canada earlier today... Yup, bought a tank of gas and a wiper blade.

Think I ought to issue a press release?
Make sure you slam Shell when doing so.

Just put it on your Esso card

Better yet, get the rest of the hard working taxpayers in Canada to pay for it because there are no jobs in the oil fields for you people to get training.
