I study some rocks because I am curious about them, not because I care about them.

Do you debate with those rocks on what you think they are?

BTW, I spend time having fun here.

It appears that your fascination with Catholicism vs Christianity has motivated you to research and post/debate the issue. Fair to say that this crosses the line between curiosity and sermonizing

You spend a lot of time watching them hump footballs, do you?

Do you often ask such stupid questions? Or do you often stray so far off topic just to pose stupid strawman questions.(Oh, I should mention those are rhetorical questions).

Nowhere near the line. It's just fun and has nothing to do with curiosity or "sermonising".

Guess that means you have no argument. Funny thing for someone believing in things that have no basis for believing in to say, though.

Moonbeam.
lol Cool. Something else I have in common with a lot of people.

I think I inhaled my coffee
I was lucky. Mine was sitting on the desk. :D

Hell I would vote for him on this alone: In the Facebook photo album, which Cardinal Steuer labeled “Tampa Phun,” the Dutchman appears at a dizzying array of frat parties and strip clubs, throwing gang signs at the camera and steadily drinking from two Old Milwaukees mounted on a beer hat.

And what is with this s h i t : “If you’re serious about becoming Pope, look at every single photo you’ve posted on Facebook and Instagram,” Mr. Klugian says. “If there’s someone on your arm who makes you look fallible, crop them out.”

Soooooooooooo you can't "look" fallible... even though you are human... this just angers me more than I can express.

Part of my heart bleeds when I read that kind of thing.

Angry? Really? This is great fodder for cartoonists around the planet! (I wish I were one and could come up with some real cool quip to post in newspapers n magazines). I would love to hear what George Carlin would say to news like this. :D

The fact that you revert to going on the attack as a 'response' makes my point for me.

Funny though, for someone that is 'curious' on the issue, you seem to have a predetermined position that has no flexibility.... And you say you're nowhere near having crossed the line lol.

Hey, I said I was no Christian. Not Catholic either. I don't turn my head to get smacked on the other cheek. I reply in kind. It wasn't me that made some stupid comment about monkeys and footballs.

The term would be "WAS", not is. But anyway, I said it "IS" fun. And your posting stupid comments like this one simply adds more support to my observation that all you have is logically fallacious arguments like strawmen and ad hominems and cannot stick to the point. You haven't touched on the point anywhere in this entire page or, for that matter, anywhere in this entire thread. Gerry has, but not you. And yet you accuse me of attacking you? You must like making yourself out to be a fool. I am sad for you.

Smacked on the cheek?.. By who exactly?

Go reread the thread, you'll see that unlike you, I have attacked no one.

Is your position that weak on this that you need to use my arguments as yours?

The point is that you attributed an article wrongly, that you obviously did not read before posting. All your bobbing and weaving and misdirection will not change that.

Wrong. The point is that Catholicism and Christianity have significant differences. I admit to mistaking who said the two are different, but that's still quite irrelevant to the point and in no way is evidence as to whether I read the stuff in the link or not.
My bobbing and weaving is a direct result of all Morgan's logical fallacies in argument. Get him to talk about the point instead of talking about me, then my bobbing and weaving will cease.

You have any more strawmen arguments?

There are several significant and insignificant differences with Christianity. On the basis tenets they are all in agreement.

Then why post a link at all?

There are a few people that called you out on it and now your answer is that it's irrelevant?

I laughed out loud at that one.... I'm guessing that your definition of a logical fallacy is anything that is not supportive of your position?

LOL

You have any more strawmen arguments?

None that could possibly compete with the ones you're throwing out and clinging to as a life raft

is there anyone in there who looks liberal? I want him.

Morgan. I apologize for crediting you with more intelligence than is reasonable.

Here is the sum total of you posts in this thread. Not one single post of yours has addressed the topic and in fact, most, if not all are ad hominems or other fallacious arguments.

Ironic that while browsing through this thread that one notices that it's mostly the atheists in this forum who seem to have an unatural facination with the Papacy:roll:

How dare they!

You forgot (unatural)................
Your first comment in the thread in reply to DS and Spade:

You could probably add the word 'unhealthy' to that description

and then the rest:

Apparently, you care enough to research links on the matter and defend a position.

Let alone spend all that time desperately trying to argue a losing point.

It's actually very entertaining, kinda like watching a monkey trying to hump a football

Do you debate with those rocks on what you think they are?
