Well, sometimes the old wallpaper needs changing because people get tired of the old. The ruling class will have their way no matter who is in power. Democracy? Not likely.

So far, the closest thing I have seen to one has been Switzerland. They have referendums left, right, center, inside, and outside there. Gov't can't spit without the public permission. They do a lot of odd things there, but the Swiss are a bit odd sometimes to start out with.

Nope! Here, we have the Senate, which in 1867 was patterned after the British House of Lords. Britain wasn't a democracy in '67 (Pick a century).

Yeah, well, I have no problem with a change in gov't. The thing in BC is that mostly, people vote to boot out an existing one instead of voting in one that works halfways decently. And every single time the Dippers get in, they have managed to double the provincial debt. Besides that, the last one caused businesses to leave the province by the hordes; as well as a lot of individuals, had scandals almost per week, etc.

Not to mention raising taxes to an obscene level! Say what you like about old Gordo, he did reduce the prov. income tax by 25% the first day he took office.

I could say a lot but it would all be bleeped out. When he tried to kick everybody off disability, 9 people committed suicide.

Do we know for sure those 9 people were mentally stable? Every time a big company lays off people there's generally a suicide or two. It doesn't matter what you do some people are going to be affected adversely..........that's life.

Mr. John Yap M.L.A. (Richmond-Steveston) has just resigned as the Minister of Advanced Education, Innovation, and Technology, and the Minister Responsible for Multiculturalism, over the continued controversy of the B.C. Liberals ethnic votes scandal.

They were on disability. They saw Gordo's move as a death sentence. Of course they were mentally unstable.
