So the guy who broke into a home, armed with a knife, is the victim?

The homeowner suffered minor stab wounds and was taken to local hospital.

No charges were immediately laid, police confirmed.

I was thinking the same thing. The victim is the homeowner. The other guy is the perpetrator.

And why would they not charge the perpetrator with home invasion?

Man, if you are in knife fight, I don't think you count wounds until one is down. Same with a gun fight. But I don't think I would have left the attacker wounded. The home owner has left himself open to a law suit.

If I was in a knife fight, I would just as soon have a gun...a shotgun...... if it's all the same to everyone.

This was a drug robbery.

This one just reads like there's more to the story.

I made a mistake. It was an attempted drug robbery.

They are very very common but rarley reported.

Who is stupid enough to rat themself out by going to cops when robbed of their dope?

Attacker alive to. No one deserves death over a burglary. I respect life.

I respect life too...my life that is so if someone breaks into my house with a knife I'm introducing him to my 9mm. First shot is a warning, second is in the thigh, if he is still there after that the rest of the clip is getting emptied into his chest & skull.
