I am so happy to be house-sitting right now as my friends have high-speed.....big Whoop! I have been catching up on all kinds of programs via the net........what a joy it is watching something of my own choice.
Must be something to do with my age, SLM as I find that so many movies today hold little if any interest for me....they also tend to have music that all but blots out dialogue........though the same can be said for music these days. When I play my old stuff.....Denver, Baez, Lightfoot, Cohen, etc.......I can understand every word.....not so with much of today's stuff.
I listen to a little music, from time to time on my sattelite music channels, but I only like one or two of
those channels, and I cancelled all the movie channels in my package, there are still the odd one that I
do watch, but I agree with you about the movies.
We have lots of older movie dvd s, and lots of westerns, but we have gone off of those right now too,
as we have lots to do with our dog, have joined a retriever club, and also take him our on our own,
just a block from home, he keeps us busy, and we keep him busy.
right now we have 'how its made' on tv, very good show.
There are so many movies made for the special effects as the priority, might keep
a teenager or a kid interested, but for us they are boring, and don't have any depth to them other than what they can do with their special effects.
