'Congratulations to Obama, in spite of the failing economy, the people still saw him as a strong president who will improve his presidency and the economy, he had a big hill to climb, it was in poor shape when he took over, so now he has another 4 years. What had to be done couldn't be done in one term, now he can move the country forward.
Truly and concisely stated. Well done, talloola. :thumbleft:
At this stage it doesn't matter much who wins. it will increasingly become less of an ideological issue and a practical one. Soon enough, all sides will simply have to agree to tax and axe, no sacred cows allowed. Goodbye low US taxes. Goodbye most powerful military in the world. Goodbye wor'ds policeman, etc. Now is time to retrench and rejuvenate the country, and that means tax and axe, end of story.
I can't see that reduced spending on their military industrial complex is a bad thing at all. Do they really need all those bases around the world? The savings reaped by this cut-back alone will provide a tidy sum of funds. It will be interesting to see exactly what the Pres does now that he no longer has to worry about votes.
Hello Northern Gateway Pipeline.
Actually, I think it will be 'Hello XL Pipeline'. Hopefully, it will take some pressure off the NG pipeline.
You said it well, Talloola. I thought both Obama's and Romney's speeches were very good.
Anyone know why Fla. hasn't been declared with Obama having a 46000 vote lead?
On the warmth factor.........Obama won hands down, IMHO. I found Mitt's words welcome but his demeanor troubling. He comes across as patronizing as if speaking to a group of kiddies. Obama is heart and soul of his audiences as if there was a connection that surpassed politics. A real human connection. I never once felt that about Romney during the entire election.
