How much would Prime Minister Mulcair want? Probably as much as he can get. Should it need to cost $36,000 per hour to fly it to him. Nobody here has even attempted to answer that question.....not surprising really.

Considering I asked what you know about Security concerns in India I have to take it that you know SFA.

I smellls me anudder Red a comin. Yas I du at dat. Eye shal beginn a countin doun.

I've posted links to back up what I've said so it would appear that I "know" a tad bit more than you do....not that that was ever in dispute.

Thanks for your input.
Any time. I feel giving credit when credit is due is important.

Entertaining as usual
Thanks.

Nice cars.

What are their delivery dates like?

I know that cute little prototype you posted a link to, isn't in mass production yet. Even though it only seats two.

But please, go on, your contrarian silliness is entertaining.

Maybe, but what you think you know, is just silly.

Well then share that wealth of knowledge with the great unwashed.

Anuddder Red-

If you cannot have a reasonable discussion then why play.

I have the opinion that you are abusing the Rep system. Now a person of such high character and moral standards would not do that. Tell me It ain`t so Joe.

So you are not abusing the Rep System.

Don't know. At issue in this thread is the uppityness of some taxpayers that the opposition would dare to ask. I'm not sure why holding people to account causes so much consternation.

Because the Opposition, regardless of who they are can be smart like a big dog.

No. That is why I have no problem with the opposition asking for answers. Are you an expert?

At least I've provided a link to a car that would have sufficed at a fraction of the cost.

It should be but at $36,000 per hour to fly limos around, one has to wonder.

You can bring "Indian security" up all you want. Nowhere in this thread have I said I think the Indians should handle security. At issue is the cost.

The Mounties are going to perform a threat assessment and issue a report. I would hope they have absolutely no consideration as to the cost of the security they deem adequate.

I bring up the Indian security as much as I do because they are the security people you would be defaulting to if you ignore your own countries security specialists recommendations. They also have a spotty record at best of being competent at that specialty.

Opposition gaining the big chair would perform the same exercise: to wit ~ "our security specialists in the RCMP responsible for our safety made recommendations and rather than second guess them thereby defeating their very purpose and mission we acceded to their suggestion to utilize the resources we have already paid for".

Do you seriously believe Mulchy-hair would turn down a ride in an armored stretch limo at our expense? I'm sorry but you've got no 'judge of character' abilities if you think for one second any NDP or Liberal PM would "economize" on their personal security. None whatsoever.

I agree

Nope. I'm just asking if we are getting value for the tax dollars spent.

I agree that that is what they would do. The Conservatives (if they were doing their job) would question the expenses.

I'm not really sure why you have to turn this into party mud-slinging politics. I don't really care what the NDP or the Libs would do. I care about what they should do. That's because I'm a fiscal conservative.

Party mud slinging politics? What was the title of this thread again? Oh that's right; "Typical opposition BS".

Now on to the fiscal conservative part of your answer.

Cheaping out on security in direct refusal to accept the recommendations of the specialists you employ to provide you with the best information and suggestions for your security abroad would in my mind be wasting a resource you've paid for ergo; taxpayer money being thrown down the crapper.

Can you imagine for one minute the alternative were a tragedy to take place?

Think of the cost of replacing the Prime Minister; the cost of the investigative exercise or Royal Commission to determine who screwed up when the RCMP's recommendations were ignored. Think of the costs of the State funeral, the memorial monument to our first Prime Minister killed while performing his official duties.

The resultant exercise in the RCMP pointing their fingers at the opposition party and invoking the wrath of god on their heads for causing the death of the Prime Minister would equate to them never being second guessed and writing their own cheques for the foreseeable future and it wouldn't just be armoured cars going overseas we'd be faced with but whole armed regiments accompanying our leaders to provide security in the future.

Yes. You seem happy to jump on the band wagon

Using that logic, politicians should never question anything a bureaucrat says. Never question a doctor and spend whatever they say on healthcare. Never question a teacher. Just spend what they tell you to on whatever they tell you to. Think of the children.

Oh dear...we had better never question them again.

What's the point of altering someone's 'quoted' post again?

I would strongly suggest this practice die a sudden death right here please.

It already has.
My apologies for any offense caused. It was not intentional nor meant to cause distress to those offended.
Yes it is also poor etiquette.
