Read what I wrote to Colpy. Inflation is not just a static figure that covers health costs. wrote to him of demographic change and the makeup of the inflation index.

6% is unlikely to be adequate. And, if it should be, it is to be reduced to levels that will kill Healthcare in 2017.

Didn't see the stuff in the 2nd link I posted, huh?

The rate of 6% will decline but that does not mean that the monetary value will not increase.

That you were a member of the Reform Party does not surprise me at all. It takes extraordinary foolishness to have fallen for Manning;s blandishments. The kind of foolishness that does not know its Party"s policy was to put an end to Healthcare and any National involvement.

Blandishments???? Preston Manning, though probably quite capable of flattery, was responsible for many reformative ideas which, thankfully, still underpin and inform many Conservative party policies.

Preston Manning is a Companion of the Order of Canada and the President and CEO of the Manning Centre – a non-profit organization whose mission is, ‘To identify, develop, and support political entrepreneurs who can advance our common vision of a free and democratic Canada guided by conservative principles.’

He is also a Senior Fellow of the Fraser Institute. He has served as a Senior Fellow of the Canada West Foundation and as a Distinguished Visitor at the University of Calgary and U of T. Manning is also a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors and an Institute Certified Corporate Director.

And, yes..................I still have my membership card for the Reform Party of Canada.

And, of course, you could not teach calculus to anything since you are far too stupid to understand calculus yourself.

The Healthcare Act makes it a joint responsibility and, until it is changed, health is a joint responsibility except for those things that are solely a federal responsibility (do you know about those?).

If you cannot grasp the simple math and logic behind the explanation of inflation I gave you, how can you even talk of calculus? I bet you had to open a dictionary to find the spelling.

I believe, kakato, that I has discovered your problem. If you like, I wil send my six year old grandson to help you with it. He has been able to interpret a calendar quite well for some time now.

And then therre is this Republican judicial gravitas. It makes Arkin seem like a statesman.

I am supposed to be impressed by that bio? Mike Harris is also a Senior Fellow of the Fraser Institute. The Fraser Institute is our version of the Heartland Institute and was founded for the same purpose: to disseminate ultra Conservative propaganda.

Manning founded something to "
To identify, develop, and support political entrepreneurs who can advance our common vision of a free and democratic Canada guided by conservative principles.’
Entrepreneurs advance free and democratic ....conservative principles! Code for libertarian social structures and l.aissez-faire economics.

The rest of his bio has about the same weight. It might just as well have said that "He has read Ayn Rand and been a devotee of selfish arrogance ever since."

And your ever so deep point is? I suspect that it is that you have nothing to say so you will play the buffoon.

Prove it won't be enough.
Otherwise it is no more accurate a speculation than mine is.

I do not have to prove it. It was imposed on the provinces without negotiation or any discussion or calculation. It was simply a take it or leave it offer.

The Provinces are not exactly happy and, in fact, there is talk of legal action by the Provinces for violation of the Health Act.

It certainly does not appear to be enough given the changing demographic and the costs of new drugs and medical procedures.
