The photo on the left is the one in the video that Enbridge released. The photo on the right is a true schematic of the Douglas Channel.

Now if I knew nothing what-so-ever about the channel, I just might be misled into wondering what all the fuss is about.

"Enbridge spokesman Todd Nogier told the Victoria Times-Colonist that the video “is meant to be for illustrative purposes only. It's not meant to be to scale. It's meant to illustrate the pipeline route, not the marine aspects of the operation."

Actually the channel on the left of the picture is Ursla channel. Douglas is on the right. There are also some islands missing.
I have logged on several of the islands and there is lots of room for tankers on Douglas channel as long as BC ferries crews are not on board.
The anti work clowns should take a look at a BC road map ad then compare it to marine charts and see how many islands are not on the road map. Seen lots of yankie tourists headed for Alaska with their boats get to Pt. Hardy with just a road map and were scared silly by that point.
There is also a really nice little hot spring in one of the bays on Ursla channel. Boat access only.
Also it is not like these super tankers are going in and out unassisted. They get tug escorts just like the freighters.
