And what sort of catastrophy are you predicting?
Thet catastrophic collapse of an environment amenable to human life. There is no "sort" at issue. At the present rate of change in sea levels for one example, within fifty years almost every coastal city in the world will be feeling the effects. Somewhat sooner than that, some two billion people will be hard pressed to find sufficient fresh water for survival. Again, sooner, the one billion around the world who depend on the bounty of coral reefs will have to find some substitute - the reefs will be dead.
At this time, there are fifty climate refugees in the world. within that fifty years the number will be in the hundreds of millions ( and many of those will be fighting to get into your backyard). By 2020 there will be twenty million in Bangladesh alone.
Droughts, floods! They will be decadal and, in some areas, annual, events instead of something that happens once in hundreds of years. That new Category six for hurricanes that is already being considered will have speculation about whether there should be a Category seven.
And that is the good stuff! Your grandchildren will probably dig you up and eat your bones.
