gerryh, defending the rights of serial killers and child killers, because they are "human", yet basically saying stronger rights for animals is not warranted.

Humans are the only Animals that kill each other for pleasure, war, territory, etc... so who are the real animals here.

Wow, you just can't get anything right, can you. I'm not defending the "rights" of serial and child killers at all. They have no rights as far as I'm concerned. Lock em up and give em 3 squares a day. That's it. Have never said anything else.

seems we choose to go the other way, the culprit this thread is about is an extreme example, but does

Yup, many of ya's have chosen to go the other way. Ya's have chosen to put animal rights above human. Ya's have chosen to call someone that kills an animal a sick s.o.b. and defend the rights of woman to kill their child. Who is the sick one.

Humans ARE animals that were given the gift of knowing right from wrong. If they make wrong choices thay are still human and still animals.

When a dog bites someone,cause "i saw this,not the biting but why some dogs will bite" its cause the person who got bit harassed the dog so much that like any humans,he would get tired of it,but contrary to humans the poor mutt will be killed for that,while Psycho Joe will never even after killing 50 or 100 other humans.

Part of it might be,but animals do not kill for fun,only to eat or protect their territories(and thats only if the invader doesn't get the message)
As for killing in wars i thing at least 2 species do it human and some apes.

Are you serious? You've never seen a cat stalk, play with, and kill a mouse, only to walk away once it's dead and never eat it? Or dogs kill and throw around cats the same way? Spend more time on a farm, you'd be amazed. And yes, chimpanzees will form troops to go out and kill males encroaching on their territory... it's war-like behaviour, complete with them tearing the faces and genitals off their foes and putting them on display as a warning.

I'm far from being an expert,but which human life is worth more,the one who killed dozens or hundred of people or the victims of this loony?

possibly the day they wake up and rake them before they kill others,and really treat them,not just focus on these allege childhood trauma....it might be ok,and if you "well not you in particualr" but people in society,knows some kid is torturing/killing animals for fun REPORT HIM ASAP
