Hey, if the opponent has a blatant disregard for women's issues than of course he will use it to his advantage.

Ya Cap, I can't imagine there is much demand for a sitting President to speak at a school.

Yes, if the invites aren't published in FOX there certainly can't be any. They probably get no mail at all. The Whitehouse mailroom must be full of Maytag repairmen.

Northern Ontario,
Democrats believe the issue could be an effective rallying point with women voters in a presidential election year, and the decision to appear at the prestigious women’s school could provide a high-profile forum for the president on that front.

An Obama administration official confirmed on Friday that the White House had called Barnard to offer the president as the commencement speaker.

I like how offer turns into invite. Kind of like how fighting for drugs to be included in the insurance plan you pay for turns into tax payer subsidized/socialized debauchery for ****'s at university.

How many presidents made the specific request to address a convocation as opposed to the other way around?

Fox news made a big deal about this, because it is way outside the norm for a sitting president to meekly request an audience with a college as opposed to the College begging buddy to appear.

.. Flukes was very clear on her identification as contraception as the issue... Not medically necessary drugs for women's health.

You do the math on the rest, OK

Smart political move. After all, there will be an election this year and Obama is quickly positioning himself as someone who does not agree with Rush Limbaugh's ideas. This one day event will probably get him more votes than several million dollars spent in TV advertising.

I see, so maybe the solution here is to eliminate the need for a prescription for the contraceptive birth control pill.. That might solve the problem.

Right...because taking exogenous hormones is something that is safe to do without considering the pertinent medical advice

Of course Fox will do that, they are a campaign arm of the Republicans. Comes with the territory.
