Honestly, I haven't watched The Simpsons in many years. I own the first 10 seasons on DVD so far, but I find the earlier seasons(3rd season to about the 7th) to be far superior to what is shown lately. I used to love watching the Halloween specials, but they got so pathetic and they weren't even funny anymore! I don't hate the show by any stretch, I just think it's probably run it's course.

Favourite moments would be any involving Sideshow Bob.

But this show jumped the shark years ago.

I haven't watched a new episode in years. Watched the 500th. Aside from showing every couch scene in the 1st 499, it was quite lame and not very funny. No self deprecating jokes about an anniversary or anything. I won't be returning as a regular to the new episodes.

I was hoping that animated monument to poor taste would just go away.

I don't follow it but coming across that show on tv, i like to watch it.
I think The Simpsons is an inspiration to Southpark, Family Guy...
