This is a much better post than usual. You sound more credible when you are not cutting and pasting. Everything in moderation.

Doesn't make sense. It should be more credible with evidence to back it up.

This is simply an opinion.

Trudeau’s boxing bout a big risk

A new Forum Research poll suggests Canadian voters view the popular son of former prime minister Pierre Trudeau as one of the top choices for leader of the federal Liberals, placing him second behind interim leader Bob Rae.

The young Quebec MP denies any interest in running for the position this time around.

But you have to wonder what will happen to both his political ambitions and profile after he climbs into the boxing ring and swaps leather with Conservative Senator Patrick Brazeau.

Though the March 31 event in Ottawa is a fundraiser for cancer, by all accounts both men are taking the three-round fight extremely seriously and training accordingly.

At 6-foot, Trudeau, 40, has a couple of inches of height and reach on Brazeau and studied boxing in his younger days.

But his 37-year-old opponent is not only Canada’s youngest senator and a former Canadian soldier, he also has a 2nd degree black belt in karate and, according to The National Post, a healthy dislike for Trudeau.

Trudeau has a tremendous amount at stake here.

Me thinks that Trudeau will be wise to walk away from this one, he may end up picking up a bunch of his teeth in the end.

Mind you, this may set one helluva precedent in terms of running gvt. You can bet that the general population would take a more serious interest in the proceedings.

People are smarter than to vote for Trudeau. He's the son of an icon, but he has no policy. Image alone will not get him anywhere.

Rae's been making a lot of headlines lately and is emerging as the true leader of the Liberal party as the country swings left.

You might be surprised. All Trudeau needs to do is get the right people in his camp to develop policy and support his efforts.

In the end, look into why people vote for one person or another. I'd wager that most bite into one or maybe 2 issues that affect them personally (or are passionate about) and don't pay attention to the rest.

Rae's problem is that he's making waves and playing right into the Conservative's hands.

I wonder if Trudeau learned anything about fighting from his dad. PET had a second Dan black belt in Judo.
I wouldn't bet against his son.

I didn't know that about PET... Maybe Justin has a chance afterall.

Now, all we really need to do is hold the fight in a venue like a pub or bar (happy hour drinks, preferably) and we can really get down to brass tacks.
