"Stephen Harper has only one passport. It’s Canadian. And that’s the way he likes it."
A strong leader would do something like the king who offered to divide a child up between two women who claimed to be the mother. In this case let the passport holder decide or let a court decide and the holder has to stay in whatever country the court is in, the other country probably doesn't want you either. The humanity laws we signed say you get to live till old age takes your life, that doesn't mean they have to be prosperous years.

That was the specific implication.

You know - Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
Does that work for Nations if you refer to them as a 'her'?

Delusional always depends on who is doing the observing.
My point exactly.

I'm impressed you acknowledged that.

No doubt, and a media produced personality to match.

No kidding! There is apparently even some guy selling a replica PM lego man on kijjii to raise money for the food bank in Ottawa. (I thought that was kinda cute)

But i still get a kick out of the accusation that it's all based on the adoration of Harper, as apposed to patriotic or nationalistic tendencies.

I'd still like my question on MPs with business ties to companies that have contracts with the Federal government answered. Same analogy, perceptions of impropriety and risk of conflicting interests.

Unrequited love is fine. You can adore me from a far, lol. :)

A worth while cause.

Why? It would interfere with some peoples ideologies.

You'd be doing your version of an Avenging Angel if the situation arose?

That's kind of turn-on to some folks (and seafarers) ya know.

Duh!

You'd be doing your version of an Avenging Angel if the situation arose?

Oh hell no, more like "Don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out". Plenty of fish in the sea.

That's kind of turn-on to some folks (and seafarers) ya know.

That's because we always want what we don't have.

But do go on, tell me more about your turn-ons, lol. ;)

It's possible to love more than one woman at the same time too.... The consequences of which are dire.
No comparison there. It would be like saying you can love only either your mother, your father, your spouce or your children but not all of them at teh same time. That would be a more apt analogy to the family of nations.

I don't need to wonder what will happen if I throw a hair dryer into the bath whilst having a soak; I already know what the consequence will be.

So are you saying that having a dual-citizen leader is analogous to throwing a hair dryer into your bath?

If so, then what are the specific actions that a 2015, dual-citizen leader could employ that would result in these kinds of mortally severe consequences?

So we can be friends without the ****ing then.

You cannot possibly be that obtuse. You're just being contrary for it's own sake.

I hope Captain Morgan does not feel a need to make a choice between loving his mom, his wife and his daughter.

You cannot possibly be that obtuse. You're just being contrary for it's own sake.

So give an example.

Right, I am that obtuse.

Now give an example.

Otherwise we're just talking about fluffy little clouds in the sky.. And since I'm apparently the idealogue, maybe you guys should actually list some real-life examples, lol

The suggestion seems to be that to love one family member more, you must love another one less. In reality though it is possible to increase one's love for one family member without cutting back on love for another. Likewise a person can expand his patriotism to a universal one without diminishing his love for his own nation.

Right.. But if you're a dual citizen PM, what exactly does that mean?

Lots of what if's in there.

You aren't nationally monogamous.

It means you have dual citizenship, nothing more.

Some people love their family and still have room to love thier fellow man. Others commit patricide. To judge a person's patriotism by his citizenship is ridiculous. In China, I volunteered regularly as I do here. Those who didn't there probably didn't in their own countries either.

In the end, people either love their fellow man or they don't. The notion of their love for their fellow man stopping at an artificial border is strange to me.

You aren't nationally monogamous.

You can still be nmonogamous and still love your mother, wife, and children. You can also be a heterosexual man and still love your father, son, and friends.

You seem to be suggesting with that analogy that you have sex with everyone you love, or that the only love that exists is of a sexual nature.

That doesn't change the fact that others don't find it strange, and practice it.
