Thousands and there are many that do not accept the cobbled together King James bible or any of those more recently reworked ones. I am very picky about the type of Being/Entity I put my faith in. It certainly won't be in an Entity who shows less compassion, love, strength or common sense than a retarded dog. So, before slamming me with your indignation, learn something about the "faith" you proclaim you believe in.

As for my faith, I am continually learning and growing in my faith. I have no idea who this "entity" is that you talk of, as my God, the God that Jesus teaches us about, is all about forgiveness, love, and compassion. Maybe you should concentrate more on the "words in red".
Huh!! There were many hundreds of "books" considered holy around at that time ......Constantine wanted the churches unified. Much easier to control both the church and the populace. He forced them to choose which books to accept or reject. One group was all for miracles and the other did not. The miracle group won and viola .... a contradictory hodge podge bible. Many of the rejected books are still around.
This is a very abreviated version of what happened. It should be up to those who adopt a belief, to learn about its origins in my opinion. It is becomes understandable why the church insisted in the early years that the lay persons should not read the bible but depend on the church to translate it for them.

PS, I started on this forum hoping for a decent debate. What I encountered was not exactly that...quite the opposite, nor was it polite. But I learned. Sometimes,frontal assault produces unexpected results. I kinda like the results, inspite of the painful start. LOL
