Obama has gone from 'reviewing' it to chopping the pipeline and all of the benefits associated with it.

The position of his party (and himself) on the enviro risks is their business, however, he waffled recently in stating that it was under further investigation.. Now, he has played his cards in stating that it is an unlikely passage.

He's stating that the pipeline requires enough time to have an environmental review.

Not sure where the waffle is there.

Crepe?

Yeah, sure.. Enviro testing... That's what he's doing.

BTW - Heard on the radio this morning that Obama is on the campaign trail.. What a co-inki-dink

The White House has denied that politics caused the project’s delay, saying further review is needed in order to balance job creation and energy security with public health and the safety of communities along the pipeline.

.. And hence, Harper's announcement that the West Coast pipeline will be considered a priority.

Obama really crapped the bed on this one.

Considering the pipeline won't bring that many jobs to the U.S., it's not really worth it for them.

If President Obama veto's the oil pipeline, which he cannot do without killing the Social Security tax cuts as well, he can kiss his second term goodbye. Stop all this whining about the pipeline, it will pass sooner or later.

H.R. 4890, the Legislative Line-Item Veto Act, was approved by the House Budget Committee on June 14, 2006 by a vote of 24-9. It was approved in the full House on June 22. A similar version was included in the "Stop Over Spending Act of 2006," authored by Senator Judd Gregg, in the Senate and approved by the Senate Budget Committee, but the full Senate failed to approve it, thereby preventing the Legislative Line-Item Veto Act from becoming law.

We have no line item veto.
