Have never denied that the Church has been guilty of doing exactly that in the past.

Do you think that this is still an ongoing problem within the RCC. Meaning the RCC is still covering this up and I refer to after 2004.

Completely off topic. You want to discuss that, bring it to the proper thread or start one.

The mission was to seek out those responsible for the events of 9/11 and bring them to justice. The Taliban had nothing to do with 9/11, but they were friendly towards those responsible. They offered to cooperate and even assist, provided the US proved their accusations had merit.

The US responded to that offer with bombs. .

All the details are a lttle tedious once you get the military-industrial complex in gear, which is what Afhgan-Iraq was all about for Cheney & Co. The USA was allowed to respond to 9/11, no one disagreed with that, but how far can you go? Afhgan has been in the mdidle of civil war for decades, the mujahideen had just defeated the Soviets, then the Taliban take over in 1996. It's all chaotic and medieval, and a short war would have been okay to the world. A few bombs? So what, no one cares.

Many many many bombs, bad, yes, size matters here and the USA did not exercise discretion, so they created a march of folly. And they lost! The Taliban are still around!

While the USA can't work with the Taliban, the British govt worked with the IRA. The British know realpoltiic.

We should have anticipated having to deal with POWs when we went into a war zone to fight. Personally I would have supported dropping off our POWs in a remote corner of Northern Canada with enough tools and materials to build a suitable shelter. Give them a heads up about Canada's winters and suggest they get busy.

Explain this one oh fount of Human Rights.
