You don't have food at your Wal-Marts? How about 24hr Wal-Mart? I love shopping at 4AM when the fresh produce comes in and the place smells like fresh baked bread.

My Walmart only has a dairy section... no meat, no cake, no fresh baked goods and its not 24hrs.

*groan*

Now I'm gonna have to go to Whole Foods and buy an organic cake instead.

Whole Foods!! That's a store for rich people! How 'bout spreading the wealth brother? ;)

I thought you lived in a big metropolis not like me out in the sticks in little ole Regina.

I do, I live in North Vancouver. I guess our Walmart is just old and all. The Walmart over the bridge has everything, but still only open 24hrs during Christmas I think.

We don't have Sobey's in NV, downtown has one. I have no idea if its 24hrs...

I'd be happy just with seeing the American corporate model create a rule that no upper management may receive profit bonus if that profit is made via layoffs. The fact that executives stand to profit from firing people, at this point, is one of the singular most damaging things to the economy.

I agree with you, upper management should only get bonus's if the company is actually making profits from its products, not that income is up and productivity and sales are down..

I would be happy to see the corporate model create a rule that no upper management may receive bonuses if the company does not make a profit.

But then again, I work for a company where all the employees share in the profits after the owner's roi and growth targets are met.

Marxism IS an illusion, promulgated by worthless free-loaders, who are intent on profiting on the hard work of others.

That's why Republican Wall Street promotes it so much:

Sorry alley, your link opened with him insulting to argue. Not really convincing. He negated any intelligent points he might have made the instant he opened with insults.

I was trying to find this vid when you posted this but I couldn't find it right away.

It's much better because it makes its point without a staunch radio host insulting his caller, ...and a snappy lil' tune. :)

In your stickman cartoon philosophy, is there any room for social programs that benefit the poor?

Charity is the biggest helper to the poor, I know that first hand. It would be great if we could have more social programs for the poor than they have already, but first they cost money when every other sector is screaming for cash like education and healthcare, and second some of the social programs like insite aren't shining example of government funded social programs imo.

There is a American dream out there, but what some do not understand that it must be earned. You are not entitled to anything except basic rights that we all receive. Kids today come right out of college expecting to make not a livable wage, but a very high wage in the field they got their degrees in. Some, very few are lucky and get a job (+$45,000 for example) most however start out at $25,000 or so. What I am saying is that you get out of life what you put into it, U.S. or Canada doesn't make much difference.

So does your stickman cartoon philosophy allow any government-run taxpayer-paid social programs for the poor? Yes or no?

Marxist? A real Marxist would say that the American dream has never been a reality just an illusion.

Which would be correct.

When he opens with "Why? Because your the type of person that could never make 30 thousand dollars?" is probably an accurate statement. The majority of people who believe in "redistribution of wealth" aren't big income earners.

You don't believe in redistribution of wealth? We should let 1% own all the wealth? You're a puppet of the rich elite created via decades of american propaganda.

Due to budget restrictions our cartoon didn't mention our government-run taxpayer-paid social programs which are easily paid for by eliminating foreign aid(2.3 billion in 2010). Done and done. :)

Next question! :p

The wealth belongs to the person who earned/created it.

I am willing to bet that you are nothing but an envy-filled, hate-ridden, jealous socialist, who would sing a different tune if you won the Super7 jackpot and somebody came along and demanded 'wealth distribution'.

And let us not forget, that if that was the case you did not even worked for or earned it.

A month ago I attempted to extend the olive branch to you by commenting on your wall, to which you didn't even have the decency to reply. And now you wish to take my time to have a discussion? The only way I'll ever debate you is in the steel cage. Take a hike.

You believe it's normal most of the wealth is concentrated in 1% of the U.S population? You think they earned that? No. The hard workers aren't the ones with the wealth, it's the bourgeois leeches sucking up all the workers wealth.

I am willing to bet that you are nothing but an envy-filled, hate-ridden, jealous socialist, who would sing a different tune if you won the Super7 jackpot and somebody came along and demanded 'wealth distribution'.

I've never bought a lottery ticket ever.
I'm not an envious person at all. I'm not a materialistic person. If I became a millionaire you would never know it because I wouldn't live like one.
