Born to party. Like the man said " we are here for a good time not a long time". God is a myth used to suck money out of the uninformed.
You know, I did the exact same thing when I was a kid in school and nothing happened.... that's when I found my own answers to life and why I and everybody else exists.... and those answers are far greater and rewarding then believing in some pixi-man in the clouds.
But to each their own.... it just goes to show that two different people doing the same thing can have two different outcomes.
There is no one true answer or solution for everybody that gives them meaning to their lives, we each find our own answers to keep ourselves going.
Your's seemed to be in relation to the Christian God...... Mine was towards a much more complicated, yet much more simplistic answer to it all that puts the responsibility and consequences of life squarely in our own laps..... not in the hand of one spiritual being that has a plan for us all.
And other people have other explanations that suit their lives.
In my view and in my past experience, when you fall down, you yourself pick yourself up. You had the confidence and motivation to keep on going, regardless of what you used to help yourself pick yourself back up, you need to give yourself credit for what you have done.
That's the first step.

Every person on earth , gets thoughts that are Not there thoughts! We get thoughts from God and Thoughts from demons! Lots of times , we have a problem and think what should we do? Then we get these different thoughts and decide which thoughts to accept as truth?
We can be reading a book or watching T.V. or any number of things and for no reason we get a thought about something else? We wonder why did we get this thought! It not our thought !
Many get tricked by these evil thoughts and think , it is really There own thinking! when in fact it more likely a thought from God or a demon?

Actually people are on this planet to give the higher life forms something to look down on.
That was forty years ago before I went off on my journey of self discovery.
And how do we know they were really communicated with God or some angel, and not just some lunatic hallucinating from some under-cooked meat they ate?
Our thoughts are our own, sorry to say. I know where my thoughts come from and I know what made me come to those thoughts. I don't excuse my way of thinking as something tossed into my brain from some outside being/source.
Anybody who thinks their thoughts are created by some spiritual being are having an identity crisis, or perhaps looking for an excuse for thinking what they think to pass off their responsibility.
I imagine you heard of those clowns who end up killing people and then claiming "God told me do it" or "The Devil told me to do it"....... God or the devil had nothing to do with it. They lost their ability to form structured reasoning because they passed off all their responsibility for their thinking and their actions onto an intangible & imaginary being that can not be held accountable.... and that's the real problem and real risk of this kind of thinking if completely believed and left unchecked.
That's not the will of a God or some other flying monkey in their heads, that's the lack of will on the individual to remain within reality and avoiding their own responsibility of their own actions.
And if you're going to reply back and tell me that these kind of people weren't actually getting messages from God and were indeed just nuts & using religion as an excuse..... I'd say your reasoning and explanations are contradicting and you're trying to pass the buck as if to distance yourself from these kind of people.
They either believe this is happening to them like you do, or they don't..... so which is it?
By the way.... the greater majority of people out there don't become suddenly convinced you're right just by posting a list of bible quotes.
The moment you enter a debate about a topic without bothering to use your own words to explain your side, but rather simply use quotes from some old book that's not even considered "Canon" to the rest of society..... you fail before you even begin.
Everyone of us ! Live by things we hear or see! We know nothing much at birth! We are tricked by people from birth! We are taught to live by sight! After our eyes are opened by the holy Ghost ? We then accept by faith the truth! It very hard for us who have been taught too live by sight to Now live by Faith! I have pretty much lived the New testament and count it Truth above all i see!
We cannot make people see the Truth ! We can reveal it , but They will never see it , without the spirit of God opening there eyes to it! The world will think we are foolish! And will mock us! I do not mind. I count the truth more important than anything in my life! I been called everything , even had people try to kill me ! what for? Just for revealing the truth! The truth hurts some. They cannot stand hearing it! They killed Stephen and held there ears as they stoned Him , just because He was telling the Truth! People say all kinds of nutty stuff . No one tries to kill them for it! yet a man or woman , who LOVE the LORD JESUS CHRIST.Some may try too kill or hurt them . It amazing too me! Those who live by Faith And Love . who try to help others all there lives are Hated! When i was a young man, my family highly respected me! I hung around the bars . But once I had accepted JESUS CHRIST , i no longer lived that life again! My family all turned against me! But when my mother and two of my sisters who had rejected me ! Wanted only me with them , when on there death beds! I was blessed to lead them to the LORD! Many do repent when they come close to death! I thank God for that! Nothing is more important to mankind than Salvation ! satan wants to hide the truth from mankind! he hates us ! He really Hates GOD for rejecting him. But he cannot hurt GOD , so he tries to hurt mankind , who GOD LOVES so much! Both GOD and satan use people!

No, perhaps not in a strict sense, but consider what he's reported as planning to do to people who don't accept it. Read about what's coming in the last book in the New Testament lately? Accept the gift or spend eternity in torment in the flames, not really an attractive pair of options to me. But I don't believe that report, it's not about our future, though people who think as you do often believe it is. It's really about the Roman persecution of early Christianity and an exhortation to the faithful to remain steadfast, god will take care of those filthy oppressors eventually. You can find the same kind of apocalyptic writing in Daniel and Isaiah in the Old Testament, about the persecution of Jews by other empires, but the message is the same. Taking the Bible literally is a quick and sure route to major misunderstandings of reality.

Hell is where people like you preach to justify their beliefs in magic and fairy tales. The truth is something else. People who hear voices in their head have problems that the pharmaceutical companies have spent billions to fix. Salvation is a personal journey. Trying to convince others of your truth is psychosis.

I have trouble with the notion of no afterlife, personally. I would say I believe in God, but in my own way, borrowing from bits and pieces of different religions, experiences, books, etc. I have a difficult time with the notion that there is no afterlife, or that I will become an atom or molecule when I'm gone. Or, just totally cease to exist at all.
