Public Service Alliance of Canada offered her a job.
Meaning what? That I'm speaking as a Liberal partisan sorely licking his wounds?
Jesus muther f-cking Lord of Mary do have any idea how to look at things objectively?
I am telling you from a non-partisan perspective that this is *not* democracy.
It's so flawed that it let a minority get a dictatorship. Normally a situation like this would be for pulp-fiction, but it *has* happened.
The only check-and-balance would have been the USA, which will not let things go too nuts up here, but they're going into the dumpster because they let Goldman Sackers deregulate and filch their economy and take the world into a recession we still haven't climbed out of years longer than it normally takes to recover from a financial bump.
Which means we're hooped, because it used to be if you didn't like it you could emigrate to the New World, but we're not going to have a New World until climate change finishes melting the Antarctic icecap.
Anyway... totally off topic but somehow relevant... here's the billboard that a denomination paid to advertize on after their prediction of the rapture didn't happen:

I think you guys are missing the serious side of this story, she wasnt just bound by a contract of employment, she also violated a security clearance issued to her, and i would not be suprised if she had to sign an ethics agreement or pledge an oath of ethics.
Imo, she has done more than just hold up a sign and got fired.
I'm sure she broke a lot of rules.
That's why she got fired.
She may have ruined all hope in recieving security clearance for any gov job in the future. Depending on her choice of universitty degree, she may have screwed up bigtime
Maybe she knows somehing you don't or aren't willing to accept? She has an Arts degree in Internationalism and Globalism.
Maybe she knows somehing you don't or aren't willing to accept?
After listening to her, I was right.
She has an Arts degree in Internationalism and Globalism.
Which sounds to me very much like basket-weaving for the politically brain-dead.
Have you made a nickel off your BA?You were right if you thought basket-weaving for the politically brain-dead would be far too complicated for her.
Self-absorbed or what!!!!!
She spoke volumes. Nice, young, true Canadian gal that one.Internationalism and Globalism.. hm.. that sounds familiar... that.. kind of sounds like Harper's economic agenda, lol
*does a little sovereignty dance*
Omicron, I fully agree with you that it is a flawed system. I have said it before, lots of times, and the usual uber-patriot pseudo-intellectuals advised me in usually vulgar terms to go either where I came from or to America.
Nonetheless, until there are changes, it IS the law of the land. Since your posts indicate that you are leaning towards Liberal, tell me did you ever complain as bitterly as you do now, when Liberals won a majority with similar numbers?
You were right if you thought basket-weaving for the politically brain-dead would be far too complicated for her.
Self-absorbed or what!!!!!
And in my opinion, her actions were extremely dishonourable...........she should not be seen merely as a lovely idealistic young woman naively sacrificing her employment in an attempt to cry out against an unjust system.......
In other words, the girl needs a short, sharp kick in the arse.
Have you made a nickel off your BA?
Like she said. She's had an inside look and as a Canadian decided to call foul. How much time looking into Canada's future have you spent in the past few years? As much as you have looking into the Heebs past?
She spoke volumes. Nice, young, true Canadian gal that one.
Yeah. Hmm... what do you think it would like if an honorable leader were elected? In fact, it's known that benevolent dictatorship by a qualified leader is the best government. It's what evangelicals are hoping for post-rapture.Omicron, I do not expect Stephen Harper to be any more honourable, respectable, honest and forthright than Pierre Elliot Trudeau or Jean Chretien or Paul Martin ever were. Or, for that matter, Brian Mulroney or Joe Clark.
Hmm... okay... there are a lot of fringe parties. More than most people know. Back in the day I remember some guy in Lethbridge Alberta running as a pot candidate. His one and only policy was to legalize pot. He got 280 votes. All I am trying to say, that until there are profound changes to the electoral system or more importantly, until the long-awaited death of fringe parties, there will always be a minority majority, as we have today.
Yep.
She needs a boot in the arse.
