Barack Obama will probably get re-elected in 2012

Besides taking out Osama?
You're joking, right? I'll quote a good friend of mine from Florida on Facebook the day that was announced, then my response:

Her: ”I will mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.”

Me: I agree with you xxx. But I have my serious doubts as to whether he wasn't already dead or still alive. It's funny these supposed occurances in the middle east always seem to happen when the President is at record low approval rating.

What does the goofy yanks outside the white house stupidity rejoicing have to do with the real accomplishment of taking out the #1 most wanted terrorist ?

The great thing about living in Europe and especially a non-English-speaking country is having less exposure to the media in North America and being able to have real conversations with people who aren't exposed to sensationalist news organisations, even the BBC. You normally hear varied opinions on current news outside of the realm of influence of organisations like MSNBC, CBC, CTV or CNN and we all talk about it. I rarely hear of anyone truly convinced of the death of Osama bin Laden.

You're excluding that as an accomplishment of Obama because you think Osama is still alive?
It's not an accomplishment of Obama, it's a supposed accomplishment of the US Army of which Congress ultimately controls. Obama has done NOTHING that he promised when I saw him live here in Berlin at the Siegessäule.

Obama had a lot to do with it , and had to decide whether the SEALS should go into the compound or not. .

As much as I'm kinda disappointed with Obamers, he's actually the best president the U.S. has ever had.

I'd love to hear your counter-argument.

Posted it a couple times in this forum already, but ... The list of 2008 campaign promises Barack Obama has fulfilled (including capturing/killing bin Laden, a major event that's impossible to minimize):

Hard to argue the U.S. President (the Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. Armed Forces) is not responsible for a covert operation of the Navy SEALS.

That might be true if Usama had not been dead for ten years. I think the myth of Usama and Al Qiada had out lived its propaganda value so they had to fake killing him to put the myth to rest somehow. Anybody who believes American mass media will believe anything. I believe they have been grooming Imanutcase of Iran to take over the Usama myth as enemy number one. Yup, let's all cheer for unbridled capitalism!

And when exactly did I say I agreed with anything George W. did? I was merely stating facts regarding him vs. Osama, and quite clearly I must add. But like always and as the hothead you've proven yourself to be, you don't even think for one moment before you post anything on this board, of which I don't censor.. a policy of which you'd most likely never adhere to.
I interpreted your post to be a statement of support for him and stand by that, you promoted that he kept his promises, that is support. I did infer a much deeper support than you now profess and if I made an incorrect assumption I apologize.

You can call me a hothead if you like, I call it passionate about my principles and my sense of right and wrong. You can also denigrate my intelligence and thinking skills, it doesn't bother me in the least. If you find my posts and the way I express myself as nonsense you are free to do so. I think my writing is at least following some logical thought pattern even if you don't agree with the conclusions which is more than can be said for some others.

Having never considered hosting a web forum I can honestly say I don't know how much I would or would not censor. I participate in some other forums and yes yours is quite free in comparison.

If I was a real supported of G.W. (of course I'm not!), I'd be a shareholder of some major oil company or arms dealer in some mansion in the Cayman Islands and I wouldn't be providing this medium of expression for ungratefuls like you.
Now that is uncalled for! I will publicly thank-you here and now for providing this place where I can have some intelligent exchanges with some and have a good laugh at some others. I will also bring to your attention that I was unaware that this was your site/forum until I read your response. Thanks again for putting in the work that allows me some entertainment.

Then why is disliked so much. Why are schools/education being cut back and the arts, music while gym is being cut out altogether. Obama gave us change all right.

Northern Ontario,
Obama could have pulled one out of the Clinton bag of tricks...when is approval rating was at it's lowest.....;-)

eg:
The night prior to Monica Lewinsky's potentially explosive grand-jury testimony, Team Clinton initiated a vicious, murderous media suppression operation. Taking advantage of circumstance -- terrorist bombings of two US Embassies in Eastern Africa that had occurred two weeks prior, Clinton ordered Tomahawk cruise missile strikes on a what was presented to the fawning media as "a suspected chemical weapons factory" in Sudan and a "major" Bin Laden terrorist organization gathering in Afghanistan.

The Khartoum "chemical weapons" plant was in reality only a simple pharmeceutical plant, producing 60% of Sudan's anti-malarial and veterinary drugs that were desperately needed in that poorest of countries.

I know. That's why it's sad that this is the best the country has ever produced. But I think the same could be said of many political heads. Democracy is still evolving.

If the economy doesn't improve the Bamster is toast.

You mean, if the economy doesn't continue to improve? Because the recession in the U.S. ended in June of 2009, five months after Obama became President.

Your premise is dubious, is all I'm saying.
