Hmmm...well screw you too then!!!!!

I bring up what I, and many other Canadians, consider an important issue and you want to degrade my intelligence for it. Go f*ck yourself!!!

*shrugs* I have someone to ****, don't have to do myself.

You're bringing it up yes, but you're insulting people's intelligence to do so. When you know what they are talking about, you are mocking them and pretending they are stupid because you don't like that it is the way it is. If you ask me a question, next time be ready for the answer.

I don't think it is deluded to ask that a majority be more than 50%. It is how math works every other day and in every other application. I have been a big proponent of electoral reform to better represent the actual popular vote since the early 90's so I'm not gonna change my tune now.

When there are three or more candidates the term "majority" is a moot point.................."plurality" is what counts.

I love Ignatieff's line on the radio just now...

"sometimes democracy teaches hard lessons."

Ya, because...

1, wrong thread.
2, you sound like a whiner.
3, you're trying to mangle fact.

Go f*ck yourself!!!
With you as an option, she'd almost have to.

come clean about Harper..... he's an advanced drone who was solely created and put into power to cater to american interests

I honestly don't think the U.S. government wants to get involved with internal Canadian politics. U.S. probably thinks it can work with anybody, no matter who Canadians put into power.

The NDP candidate that was in Vegas for the bulk of the campaign, was elected.

What does that tell you about the NDP voters in that riding?

It tells you how the volatile the Quebec vote is and how Canadians shouldn't take anything for granted when it comes to Quebec.

And like I told you, its nothing new. Losers in elections have complained about this for decades but proportional representation as in the BC referendum isn't necessarily a panacea either. What proportions do you want to represent? That type of system eliminates the local candidate and places more emphasis on the leader. No system is going to be flawless but feel free to pout about it if it really floats your boat.

Plurality is not a mandate from the masses. 40% is not a mandate of anything other than the majority of voters don't want you running the show. I see this a huge problem that needs attention. An FPTP plurality does not represent the will of the majority which is what a democracy is supposed to be about.

Do I seem like an imbecile to you? I know the difference between seats won and popular vote and that is why I support electoral reform to bring the 2 numbers closer together as a better representation of the will of the people.

And I never took Pol-sci, would have been a waste of my time getting a degree in commerce and economics.

You have a wonderful knack for winning friends and influencing people - don't you PN - you just try hard to hide it from everyone. :p

Well, I congratulate the conservatives. It must have been hard, working in Ottawa for the last 5 years with guys like Dion, Duceppe, and Ignatief blocking things for the sake of blocking things.

The Conservatives have worked hard for Canada, and deserve to represent us for the next 4 years. Goodbye long gun registry! :)
