So - as I ask this question a third time, because I'm honestly curious.. Why kind of benefits does Harper really have with these seat distributions?

Pretty simple, with the whipped vote being an allowable part of our parliamentary process whatever Harpo wants he gets unless a whole bunch of his party breaks ranks and gets tossed from the party to become independants. Another fine example of the type of democratic reform we badly need.

All you con supporters have to slow down for a minute and look at only 40% of the popular vote, that means 60% of the people still don't want Harpo running the show. This is a prime indication of why we badly need electoral reform in this country, 40% is hardly a true mandate from the masses.

This is an argument that has been raised for the past several decades: 40% or so is all most majorities have. And to change things means re-opening the constitution, which even Jacko is hesitant about doing.

the only bills you're paying are medical bills for your broken hip old man, while those young people paying taxes for your health insurance , gtfo.

Sorry girlfriend, but my hip isn't broke and I'm not that old: I simply have some respect for those who are. And I pay more than my share of taxes to cover any services I need. kthnxbai

You do realize that 40% is not a majority, or did you fail math that bad?

So....did either Iggy or Lizzy Mae even win their own seats in their own ridings?

Just saw a report that Liz is leading Gary Lunn by a few votes but only two polls out of a hundred - I think had reported. Don't know about Ig - he was struggling.

I don't think it is deluded to ask that a majority be more than 50%. It is how math works every other day and in every other application. I have been a big proponent of electoral reform to better represent the actual popular vote since the early 90's so I'm not gonna change my tune now.

You do realize that they are discussing seats held, not vote share right? or did you fail poli-sci that bad?

Do I seem like an imbecile to you? I know the difference between seats won and popular vote and that is why I support electoral reform to bring the 2 numbers closer together as a better representation of the will of the people.

And I never took Pol-sci, would have been a waste of my time getting a degree in commerce and economics.
