Religion can be an organ, of the ruling elites, to keep the masses impoverished but it's not the only one. Here in the secular west; nonwithstanding the United States, we have a religion called the security net and diversity. If the housing market wasn't so crazy in Vancouver; with the constant influx of migrants and immigrants, than most young adults would have their own home and would be able to afford children.
