columbus is sitting in 7th place in conference and atlanta is in 8th in their conference.
right in the middle of the pack
atlanta has a fun team this year, a few players from last years chicago team, and
they played chicago last night very well, and only lost it in a shoot out.
we all should have respect for the ability of all of the teams in the NHL. any one of
the teams can beat anyone on any given day, and it's not a fluke. it's a very fine line
between winning and losing in the NHL.
the person to listen to very carefully is vineault when he is interviewed about other teams,
he has it right, and he will convey that knowledge to his players all the time.
the media are very bad at telling us how boring and uninteresting certain teams are, 'don't
listen to them'.
some teams got off to a slow start, some didn't, the positions in the standings shift around
at this time of the year as teams settle in, but then injuries come round, and slumps come round,
so lets enjoy canucks on this 'high' right now, because they won't stay 'this high' all season, they
will have their falls from grace at one time or another too, depends on the injury situation, and also
how fresh they stay.
this road trip is good for canucks, (thanks to gillis, as he wrote a letter last year complaining to the
league, how injuries creep into the team when they are given back to back games on big road trips), and also, (how the west coast teams have such a tough road schedule compared to the rest of the league,) so this
road trip has 'no' back to back games, and is set up quite comfortably and games not too far away from
each other.
