This was shot inside an abandoned power generating plant. It's a high dynamic range photo (HDR). 3 exposures combined to bring out shadows & highlights.

Foggy night in Toronto.

Took this photo in front of my place a couple nights ago. From this vantage spot you can normally see the CN tower in the background, the fog swallowed it up that night.

Our house backs onto a large wooded area and we see deer almost every day. You'll notice that the momma deer
in the photo has a dark patch high on her right flank which is how I identified her and her two offspring. This year we
have five different families of deer who visit on a regular basis.

This is Pyewacket, our twelve pound panther. She was gonna bring down one of the deer but she had to
scratch and wash her face.

The Bouvier instantly became the fawns mother. The fawn was passing out from hunger in my friend's yard. Mother must have been killed. We had the honour of the fawn's company for about three weeks before we gave her up to a safe house near Nelson. Nothing quite describes the feeling of holding a fawn in your arms and patting it. make a grown man all mushy inside!

The sunrise and fog ... mood setting ... like it
We've had fog too, but no sunrise on the water for me ... yet.

I learned today that the sony camera has a vivid setting ... is that like vibrance in photoshop? Is there an equivalent with the canon?

Is that Owl perched on a glove? Cool shot.

A vivid setting will probably increase the colour saturation by +2 or 3, it's really not needed as you can do those changes your self to a RAW file. Canon's have a few different photo style presets but in all honesty, they're not that good.

That owl lost a wing in an accident, and is sitting on a glove.

I think this is merganzers in front, and harlequins in the back, but they were on the other side of the river, and there was little I could do to get a good shot short of getting lost on freeways
