Can someone please tell me why people have such strong feelings about politicians when 99% of the people know very little about 99% of the politicians?
Because emotions are irrational and illogical. Media and advertisers design their content to illicite emotional responses to keep people being rational and logical. It keeps people involved in meaningless drivel so they don't actually get involved in politics. It is the old slight of hand trick - wave your hand over here while smacking them upside the head with the other.

Why is it that the liberal Democratic media jumped all over Sarah Palin even before anyone knew anything about her. Why was it wrong to try and keep her family with her while she was campaigning? Why are family values so alien to the Liberal democrats? Why is it that a whole country seems to be anti God, or against certain so called Christian beliefs, non Christians seem to have more faith than so called intellectuals. I may not be a total believer but I do not criticize other, nor do I care what they believe. I just figured I would go back to basics with her.
Why? Freedom.

Responding to ironside's post #979:

ironsides, you should know by now, facts are the one thing liberals care the least about. And if they need "facts", they manufacture their own.

I remember watching Sarah Palin's speech of acceptance of the VP position, on MSNBC.

When she finished, on came the liberal TRANSGENDER FREAK, Rachel Maddow. She was totally ashen-faced, clearly terrified. She was followed by Chris Matthews, likewise.

At that moment I realized that Sarah Palin can expect nothing but personal attacks, not only on herself, but every single member of her family from the liberal water-carriers of Obama.

Sadly, the gullible public was mesmerized, bamboozled, befuddled, bewitched, bothered and bewildered to believe all the crap about the Marxist/Communist slum agitator. They voted for him en masse, hoping to have their bills will be paid by the most eminently UNQUALIFIED pretender in history.

Now that the mortgage payments or rent are still unpaid, the fridge is still empty, their kids still learn nothing in the union dominated schools, they are beginning to have "buyers' remorse". Well, no wonder!

After this post I will make every effort to stay on topic, because, sooner or later, Ron in Regina will remind us to do so.

And, TenPenny, unless your post will be worth at least two bits, I will not respond to you.

Yup, all anti Palin info. began spreading before the public even knew anything about her. They were waiting to pounce on anyone McCain picked as his running mate.

Why? Freedom.
Yes, Freedom, but do they really know what freedom is besides opening their mouths? Do not think so.

I thought she was Governor of Alaska. You're saying she was a nobody before McCain picked her? So she wasn't Governor? Is that all a lie?

The Right are grabbing at straws to try to regain any sense of credibility. Bush has done to the Republicans what Mulroney did to the PCs.

And the Left has only one thing: Blame Bush. Sorry, another thing: It's all Bush's fault.

And one more: Demonize everyone they are genuinely and rightfully afraid of.

It's all your fault. Anyone who believes in a left or right world is to blame for how ****ty things are.

Stop mumbling to yourself and do something about it.

Are you familiar with all the governors or legislators for every state? Doubt it, no one is, every now and then one jumps into national recognition and everybody asks who are they and where did they come from.
