I sure hope they are, talloola. The Lions are lookin' good this year and I expect the teams to put on a great show for the fans.

GO, RIDERS, GO!

looking forward to a good game, I hope lion's o-line is ready. I think their defense will be fine.

End of the first half and all my faith in Marcel Bellefeuille and the Ti-Cats has been rewarded.

The Ti-Cats are leading the Stamps 19 to 13.

One of the big stories of the game is the kick off returns of Hamilton's Marcus Thigpen. On the opening play of the first quarter for Hamilton he again returned a kick off for a TD. So what, you ask? Well consider this, last season there were five - 5 - kick off returns for TDS. So far Thigpen has 3 and this is only the second week of the season. He is a huge asset for Hamilton.

Great game so far, much more exciting then last week.

Second half just getting underway.

That game starts at 8:00pm Saskatchewan Time. Should be a Gooder!!!
 I did state 7 PM PST, Ron.

Listened to parts of calg/ham game, I was busy in and out of the house, but did watch the end,
pretty tense there for a few minutes.

Maybe ham should have gone for a field goal early on, instead of trying for the touchdown.

Calgary fans will be happy to see the team overcame last week’s difficulties to win their game against Hamilton today. Though the Cats held the lead for most of the first three quarters of play, the stats favoured the Stamps for the better part of the game.

Burris looked much better than he did last week against the Argos. He was able to evade pursuers and get the ball away. He also ran for a few yards.

3rd Quarter

The Stamps came out in the second half and marched the ball downfield only to have a Burris pass intercepted by Hamilton`s Shivers who ran it downfield to the 55-yard line.

Hamilton unable to score a major, bring on their kicking team but the ball is wide and Calgary`s Murphy takes the catch all the way downfield to Hamilton`s 15-yard line.

Burris`s first pass finds Nik Lewis in the end zone – TD Calgary and for the first time in the game, Calgary leads.

20 – 19 Stamps.

Both Calgary and Hamilton struggle on their respective series and the 3rd quarter ends with no further points scored.

4th Quarter

Good defense by Hamilton combined with missed passes and a holding call on Calgary finds them giving up the ball after starting off the last quarter.

Hamilton advances down to the goal line but a pass to Bruce in the end zone is batted away by a quick Calgary defender and the Stamps take over on their own 35.

Calgary is stopped from scoring by a solid Hamilton defense.

With 1:42 left in the game, Hamilton manages to put 3 on the board.

22 – 20 Cats

PK Sam was guilty of a 15-yard piling on penalty which gave the Stamps excellent field goal position and Rob Maver of Calgary was good for the 3 point field goal to give the Stamps their first win of the season.

23 – 22 for the Calgary Stampeders

I am pumped for tonight game! I hope the riders play at the same level as last week, should make for an interesting game!

You betcha, Haz. I have my Rider duds ready to don and the tats ready for pasting...... bring on the pussycats! I really like the fact that the game is being played at Empire stadium, Haz. I expect, for once, to see the bleachers packed to the rafters at a Lion's home game. Mind you, I also expect to see a lot of green amongst the orange and white.

RIDERS' RULE! GO, TEAM, GO!

I expect that the Lion's defense will be fearsome, talloola. I hope Darian is quick off the mark with his passes and his runs.

The O-line is still a bit up in the air, I agree - but Printers has looked pretty darn good so far. Would like to see a wider range of receivers this time around though.

lions definitely have their hands full, printers has no time at all, hope he isn't really injured, but
I am interested in seeing lulay get some playing time, I like him a lot, he has promise.

at least the score isn't out of hand, so in the second half, lions need to step it up, if possible.

I watched the Calgary-Hamilton match on justin.tv. Great game won by "Cow Town" 23-22.

Prior to this, didn't know Calgary was referred to in this manner.

Tonight, I'm watching SSk-BC.

It's fun!

Well talloola, what can I say.... this is why I am so proud of my team. Great game on a Empire Field

Darian is so cool, so collected and loose in the pocket and out of it. Printer's biggest problem comes when he is out of the pocket. He has a great arm but long bombs don't win games. Steady consistent play by both the offense and defense as was shown by Sask is what wins in the end. There was never any doubt Sask had the game sewed up when they got their final TD.

Geroy Simon was solid for BC missing only one pass. He's a keeper. But where was Paris Jackson? Too many unnecessary penalties also hurt BC.

The real lowpoint of the game for me was when I watched BC's coach ream out his receiver for the offside penalty on national TV. You would never ever see Ken Miller mark out one of his players that way.

Way to go, Riders!

I actually watched. Away games are okay. There are no drunk leprechauns to deal with.

Never a doubt in my mind, Haz. The Riders were solid from start to finish. The defense kept BC from scoring time and again and the offense just kept putting points on the board. It was all over for BC when Harris recovered the Lulay fumble and returned it for the TD - a well-deserved bonus for Brent who was our best defensive player of the game.

I missed the reaming out thing. Looked to me like a 'built' team playing against a 'rebuild' team, sask.
looked very solid and confident. Lions O line didn't protect their q back much at all, everytime they
made adjustment, sask re adjusted and fooled them again.

Yeah Geroy looked good tonight, and lulay got some playing time, although he got sacked a few times, he
did manage to make a few nice plays.

Teams have 'their' time, and now it belongs to sask, and montreal, lets see how long it takes for someone
to knock them down, it all goes in ebbs and flows, that's sports for ya.

good game ruffys, you deserved the win.

I was very impressed with Lulay tonight. He just kept getting up and
continued playing hard hit after hit, right through to the end. He'll be
very-very good eventually, and he's very good right now.

It is going to be another long year for Lions' QB's. I have added myself to the QB depth chart (in case the first 17 end up on injured reserve).
