So I don’t know with 100% certainty that God doesn’t exist (nobody can know it with 100 % certainty), but in my opinion, the evidence for existence for God is so minuscule, so sparse, that it is negligible, and can safely be neglected.
Due to the alleged thousands of immortal underlings with an alleged one third being evil, the heavens could end up in a coup or minority govt at any time. Who "knows" what they'll do or who could end up being the next god after Yahweh?

Nixon?

Nobody ever said you need to be smart to be god. Just able to light mountains ablaze and lob meteroites now and again. With corrective lenses she can see Russia from Juneau. Does that count?

Quite so, the God of Bible does not come across as a smart God at all. If I were God and if I came up with such an inferior product as humanity, I would destroy the whole think and start over again from scratch. And perhaps subcontract out the project, seeing the horrible product I came up with the first time.

"Monkeying around" was a mistake. A passive agressive species would have done better with opposing digits than primates.

Satanists rank slightly above Atheists, there is a special kind of Hell reserved only for Atheists.

A school kid would be an Atheist mainly if his/her parents are Atheists. At that age, they adopt the parents' religion (or lack of it). But then as I said before, very few kids are born into Atheism.

the point I was making is this--a jr./sr high school kid, who doesn't believe in god would learn something
about religion in the course, doesn't matter at all what his/her parents believed in or not, there are many
religious parents who have kids who will not follow along, and some who do, makes no difference, and also
religious kids who know nothing about other religions.

I wouldn’t say agnostics have no knowledge of religion; some of them may be quite knowledgeable. My take on it is that agnostics are confused, they don’t know whether God exists or not, the evidence is inconclusive either way, in their opinion.
Well, it is. Believers can no more prove gods exist than unbelievers prove that gods don't exist. There's no conclusive evidence. I'd suggest you are confused as to the definition of the word "conclusive".

Atheists take it one step further. I argue that there is no need to prove that God doesn’t exist, that has to be the default position. If somebody says that God exists, it is up to them to put forward the evidence, and so far I haven’t seen any evidence to support God’s existence.
"I don't have to disprove. I can be lazy and sit back because you can't prove". That is not proof of anything except that you are lazy.

So I don’t know with 100% certainty that God doesn’t exist (nobody can know it with 100 % certainty), but in my opinion, the evidence for existence for God is so minuscule, so sparse, that it is negligible, and can safely be neglected.
So?
Conclusive:
end of doubt, no room for debate, etc. :) Look it up.

I know with 100% certainty that God exists.

that is a typical response from a Religious person..

can't show it so you say something to side step the challenge.

You seem to be under the false impression that I need to prove to you God's existance. I don't, nor do I have the desire to prove anything to someone that has no real desire to know God. It would be a complete waste of my time.

The statement that I was responding to stated that no one can know of God's existence with 100% certainty. I just stated that the statement is wrong as I know with 100% certainty that God exists.

but how do you know?

that's the whole point.. you come out and say "I know 100%"

yet when someone says "how?" you can't say how..

soon people just walk away saying "sure pal.."

lol... you didn't ask him what has led him to such faith... you told him to give you evidence. Asking for a conversation about someone's faith is a lot different than demanding evidence. I can't give you evidence of the fact that I feel a deeper connection to the earth and people than can be explained by modern science. But it's there, and I feel it 100%, and I've seen it at work. Evidence be damned.

I have no problem with that response. Much more problematical is the response which says that there is only one true God and everybody must worship the true God and nothing else.

Both Christians and Muslims are guilty of that; they both have the divine commission of world evangelization. In that case, it is quite legitimate to ask, where is the evidence for this ‘True God’?

There is only one true God. The Jews, Muslims, and Christians ALL worship him. As a matter of fact, as far as I am concerned, pretty much anyone that has faith in a "creator", whether that be "mother earth", "mother nature", or "gitche manitou"believes in the same God that I do.

and btw....changing your wording doesn't change the fact that you were wrong in your statement.
