3 fist sized meals a day? roflmao So it makes no difference whether these meals are made of pure lard or spinach? That's freakin hilarious.
cfl is on the right track, although a bit extreme, IMO. I see nothing wrong with having the odd burger, chunk of pie, or bag of cheesies as long as you keep track of your caloric intake. Eat a big fat steak with a stack of spuds and cauliflower or something if you like or even a salami sausage. Once in a while it doesn't hurt. But count the calories and increase the exercise to compensate for the extra ones. And try not to have too many occasional bites of processed foods.
It's not brain surgery. There's no mystical secret.
that's exactly what I do anna, I eat good healthy foods, most of the time, but we like our goodies,
and a burger now and then, so I always balance off what I have eaten each day, 'by calories', approx.
so that I can be sure I'm not having a burger and also something else high in calories the same day,
it's really easy, and one can eat those little sinful things once in a while, even once a week.
What we don't do is 'snack' in between meals, we like our food, so when we do eat a meal, we are hungry,
and have room to eat it, and not pile it on some snack we might have had two hours ago.
We also eat our 'big' meal of the day around 2 oclock in the afternoon, and not late in the day,
especially after 6 oclock or so, so when we go to bed, we aren't laying there with our tummys full of
food, just a small snack around 8 oclock, nothing filling.
And, it is important to stay active, at my age I don't have to do so much excercise that I am laying
around in a pool of sweat, but walking is so good for you, and 'just' being on your feet, busy and
active, especially after meals.
I know it is difficult for 'heavy' people to get out there in public and excercise,
walk etc., but I see them often, and I commend them for putting out the effort,
and being conscience that their bodies need trimming, and their health is important.
