I'd say ICBC was sending the wrong message. Don't get caught DUI or using your penis pump, rather than don't go DUi. Besides that, it is hardly a professional attitude for the gov't to take. Kids are impressionable. The gov't corporation needs to grow up.
I think a whole lot of people missed the whole point of the ad campaign.
They are equating dui with things that you should be embarrassed to be caught doing.
I think it's a great campaign. It uses humour to make a point. That's a trusted and well-known advertising concept.
Some may not think so. But the very fact that you noticed the campaign enough to complain, shows that it made the point. Unless, of course, you're simply complaining because someone told you to, and you don't have a clue what your point is.
