Halak played awsome, and his team supported him by scoring
four goals and capturing the win, one more, hope they can
do it, but even if they don't, they will have nothing to be
ashamed of.

Montreal's good positional play, and good defensive play,
and timely goal scoring is key to their ability to beat
washington, whereas washington's poor defensive play, and
so so goalkeeping and huge rushes and shooting off the
rush is not working, they will have to think of something
else, don't think they know how to do it any other way.

So so goaltending? Isn't there some similarities between the Habs' and Caps' goaltending this series? Namely, both teams have used two goalies and both teams had one goalie that did bad while another goalie did mixed depending on the game played.

What is the standard to judge a team's goaltending as so so?

you're right, but montreals last two games have had out of
this world goalkeeping, if that keeps up, anything can
happen, don't know if Halak can keep up this pace.

I hope they put Halak in a hyperbaric chamber for a couple of days. The poor guy must be exhausted.

You're right about Halak. He's been amazing this last two games. I'm just grumpy my favorite team is losing their sh*t.

Although anything is possible, I can't imagine he could last another game like that. The Caps could've won 12-4 and Halak would still have been the first star.

I would love to see another Canadian team in the second round. Halak stood on his head to get Montreal this far. If they win the seventh game, maybe other teams should start worrying about Montreal. I wish them well but my team is the Canucks and right now they have to get their ---- together to beat Chicago. I think they can do it. If Luongo keeps on bringing his A game like he's been doing, I would say Vancouver in six.

My neighbor told me to watch the Montreal game last night as the Penguins are waiting to see who they play next, well into watching the play-offs now - I did. What a great game to catch. Halak was simply outstanding.

Just an observation here but have the fans here in Canada always sung Oh Canada so loudly and proudly or is this yet another legacy of the Olympics? I get thrills everytime the Canadian anthem is played and I hear the audience belting out the words.

At the last Canuck's game in Vancouver, the singer actually took the mike and held it up so we at home could hear the audience singing the anthem - gave me shivers!

Your team played so well last night, Johnny. I had heard from my neighbor, not knowing myself, that Washington is supposed to be the best team in the NHL. After watching last nights game and seeing how well the Canadians played, I think the Capitals may have a hard time fighting off the momentum that Montreal has now.

"I had heard from my neighbor, not knowing myself, that Washington is supposed to be the best team in the NHL."

Also the ONLY team in the N.H.L. who had Atlanta, Carolina and two Florida teams for opponents for the majority of their games in the regular season.

Ye gods, you Canuck fans are broken records whining about "weaker schedules" and weaker/stronger conferences. Sometimes it works out that way. Did Canuck fans complain about it all these years the Oilers have been roadkill? Or when the Avs were struggling the last couple seasons? Or when the Flames haven't been good enough to make the post season? Where was the whining when Detroit could coast to a Presidents trophy in the years Columbus, Chicago, Phoenix and St Louis all made up the rest of the weakest division (by far) in hockey? There wasn't any because the fact of the matter is even bad teams can play you tough and just fall short in the end.
