Maybe they should leave Andrew Albertson behind- he's a detriment to the team.
yeah, and that's too bad, because other than the penalties,
he is getting better all the time, he is big and strong and
hits hard, and vineault stuck up for him this morning, and
said what a fine line it is to play tough without going over
the line, but I see tonight, even he got tired of it, and
alberts was 'riding the pine' for a while.
Tall I don't know if the Canucks can win this series, God, they were up two goals to zip and they blew it away. Now they have to win a couple in L.A.....Good Luck!
it's not going to be easy, but I never thought it was, so
we'll have to go for the ride and hope we were glad we did,
then we can go for another one.
vineault will do a little tweaking here and there. We
could have had more out of this game, a lot of shots were
not on the net, they have to correct that.
I mean, look at it this way, we could have won in overtime
just as easy as they did, it was just that silly penalty,
too many men on the ice, that was feeble.
small mistakes make big openings, for both teams.
I hear you #Juan and tend to agree- on the other hand none of the 16 playoff teams are up 2 after 2 games, so right now the Stanley Cup Winner is at the same spot the Canucks are.
All the teams are so close in ability and have the same
possibility of winning or losing.
A good example of that is the washington/montreal series,
tied at one game a piece, but montreal could have won both
of those games, and they were the 8th place team and barely
got in to the playoffs. Washington on paper are much better
than them, but you play the game, and playoffs are different, every team finds another gear, especially the
ones that 'aren't' suppose to win.
In our conference San Jose and Chicago should be the ones
to win, but I wouldn't bet on anybody over anybody else.
Canucks have a few things to 'clean up', and alberts has
to stop getting those penalties, but rome isn't ready to
play yet, so vineault has his hands tied, he could play
baumgartner, but he will be 'beaten' one on one by many
of those l.a. players, they are very fast, just like we are.
Both goalies have played very well, but if one of them
stumbles, that will be the key.
It surprises me how the referees allow so much mugging and
falling all over the goalies in these games, some of it
looks like interference to me, but it is let go.
Not sure if grabner will play again, maybe he will put
pettinger back in, he is a little more fiesty, but grabner
is faster, but maybe not enough grit in his game for this
playoff.
Canucks suck, they are play on the play offs like a bunch of armatures. I will be surprised if they come out beating LA. ALSO THE REFS SUCK BIG TIME ON LAST NIGHT'S GAME.

they play montreal, as they are all in the same

so they play their own division 6 times and the rest
of the conference 4 times, same with montreal, so they
played each other 4 times during the season, as they are
not in the same division.
Where it makes the big difference is when you are comparing
the western conference to the eastern conference during
the season, and each year is different depending how those
teams are performing each year, that is why I made the
statement 'before' that ovetchkin would have a much easier
time winning the ross trophy over henrik, because he had
an easier end to the season, playing within his own
conference, and it didn't turn out that way, to my surprise.

yes Tallola LA may be a good team, but on play off time when we see game one and two finish in overtime, it explains that neither had the energy required to play a play off game and win with a good goal score. I know Big Lou stopped some 30 shots in the last game but no cigar. Don’t get me wrong, I like the Canucks but taking five minute penalties on play off games is not a well thought play. So for that, plus the fact that they could not convert when given the opportunity it showed lack of energy, and with out energy no Stanley Cup. :canada:
I don't pay as much attention to the Western Conference as I should, but I think Vancouver can afford a few negatives (lack of energy; too many penalties), and still be a serious contender.

There was one 5 min. penalty in first game by alberts, who
is breaking in with canucks, and feeling his way around,
and yes, making some mistakes, hope he has learned something
by now.
Rome is still injured, and still day to day.
Overtime is very typical of play offs, and shows a good
two way game by both teams, being responsible for both ends
of the ice, and goalies playing solid.
I was happy to see Don Cherry show the ignorance of the
linesman yesterday, he made a call that the referees should
be making, they chose to let it go, but he stated that
Bieksa purposely played the puck, WRONG, cherry showed a
close up of Bieksa trying to get to the bench, and he jumped
over the puck, and it ticked his skate. Poor call, in a
crucial time in overtime of playoff game, gave great
advantage to L.A., and they did score on the powerplay.
There are two very good, and very similar teams playing
each other, won't be easy for either one, and shouldn't
be.
Yes both goalies are exceptional., I would like to see a good receiving of the pack at passes, when the pack is passed our players seem to miss connecting with it, and start using skates to control it, valuable time is lost when the puck is not received on first contact, and thus opportunity to score gets smaller, especially on a hungry team like LA. Just my thought, I love the Canucks even though i am on record saying they suck.
The are B Cs pride and joy, I would like to see a repeat of 2004, my gut feeling tells me not this time. I wish it could happen...
I find your description of how things are happening a little
confusing, probably isn't, but you describe the goings on
in a way I am not familiar with.
Yes, the Canucks need to play better next game, just as the
kings had to play hard in the second game, as they lost the
first one. Both teams want to win, both teams have great
abilities, the systems they play are good and very similar
to one another, although the kings don't play the up and
down open game as well as the canucks, they like to play
the cycle game, and do better when they play that way.
These teams will battle each other all the way, and maybe
they will split games in l.a. same as in vancouver.
I find that a 'fan' of a certain team, in this case, Vancouver, really only watches what their own team does,
and doesn't include the opposition much at all, and most
of the problems their own team have is because their own
team 'sucks', and they don't seem to have the interest or
ability to see the game from both sides, and see and appreciate what the opposition does well, or not well, they
seem to see the opposition always as something lower than
their own team, and can't understand when their own team
can't defeat them, and sums it up as , their own team isn't
playing any good, and that irritates them, then they have
to go home and try to get over that emotion of dissapointment and build themself up again to face the next
game, which they approach exactly like the last.
It might just turn out at the end, that l.a., player for
player is a little better than the canucks, and they will
persevere and win the series, so be it, or, it might be
the other way around, and before that happens, there are
so many scenarios that can happen to change it either way,
such as injuries, goalies breaking down now and then, too
many penalties, as we had in the last game.
The one negative thought that comes into my head at this
time is the fact that canucks all season have had a less
than stellar 'road' record, but 'awsome' at home, so now
that they are going to l.a., I am a little concerned that
their habits from the season will continue and they won't
play well on the road, and now that they have lost one at
home they have to win one on the road, and if that does
happen, then we can win our remaining home games and win
the series.
they must take less penalties, although they were screwed
by the linesman in the overtime.
