Watch The U.S. Accept Or Defeat The Health Reform

Anybody interested in watching the history being made in America go to CPAN at http://www.c-span.org/Watch/C-SPAN_wm.aspx

In Washington D.C. this weekend could be a game changer.

Listen to the Republican propaganda at work denying every American from getting equal healthcare.

Watch some turncoat Democrats go against their President.

If the healthcare passes the American people will be the winners.

The Republicans are afraid that if the government healthcare passes then everybody will see that they were lying and the Republicans will never get elected into government.

This is what happened in our Canada years back when we got government healthcare.

If this bill passes in the House of Representatives Americans will say goodbye to $100,000.00 surgeries and personal financial difficulties when they don’t get the bill do they get it for free? No it comes out of their taxes.

When this bill passes the American forefathers will rest in their graves because their offspring finally got it right.

The final vote is expected to happen sometime on Sunday and you can watch it on CSPAN the American version of CPAC

When American government healthcare passes God will be proud and the angels will sing except for the angel of death he will have to wait longer to collect the souls

Equal healthcare? - Like in Canada?

I guess that you aren't friendly with anyone that has elected to take their $$ South to access the healthcare that is barely available in Canada.

They can take their money south of the border but they are double paying because healthcare still gets their tax money.

If the American government healthcare passes then they can go to Mexico or India and they will be happy to take their tens of thousands of dollars

Contrary to your opinion, there are very few who go south to USA for health care. These are the rich or super rich who can afford the very high cost of American health care.

If a Canadian wants to go abroad for health care, there are much better bargains to be had in India, Cuba, Mexico etc. You can get high quality health care in these countries at a much more mdoest price.

Anyway, it is still up in the air whether they will pass the health care legislation or not. My hope is that they do, otherwise they will be stuck for another generation at least, with skyrocketing prices, bankruptcies, lack of preventive care leading to poor health (USA lags behind other developed countries in most health care indicators).

But it is up to them what they do. If Demonpass works, then Senate legislation will be passed. Republicans may try to delay the accompanying legislation in the senate, but then war will have been won, only a few skirmishes would have been left. And Republicans probably cannot block it in the Senate anyway, at most they can delay it since it needs only 51 votes.

But it will be interesting to see if Demonpass works.

I doubt that anyone would stick around for months in pain waiting for Canadian surgery to repair something if they could afford to scoot somewhere else and get it fixed within a few days. And Canada wants more immigrants and births. Freakin stupid.
Anyway I'm not really interested in the proceedings of the American debates over their healthcare. I'll wait for the DVD.

"What about the folk who go in by ambulance because there are no doctors available at a Canadian hospital and the wait time would be fatal?"

Similarly, many babies to parents who live in St.Catherines, Fort Erie, and mant other places on the Niagara region, were born in Buffalo, because local hospitals could not handle their case.

Good thing ... 'cuz they probably couldn't afford the price of American Healthcare to get to a service that should have been available at home.
the parents won't get a bill from the American hospitals the our government is paying and the parents will just pay their taxes

I think it'll pass, but i hope Rep. Stupak (D Mich) and his colleagues, a small band of pro-life Democrats, prevails in imposing language that clearly bans all federal funding of abortion.. which is implicit in the current structure of the bill. Without that it deserves to fail.

Quite so. But whereas US government was to blame for having to bail out banks in the first place (bailout was necessary because Republicans and Bush got rid of all the regulations, they let the banks do absolutely anything they wanted, including sub prime lending), US government is equally to blame for NOT bailing out the citizens when it comes to health care.

The way it will work (assuming that Demonpass is successful) is that Senate version will be passed. Any amendments (changes to the abortion language etc.) will have to be considered separately, will go back to the Senate, and will come back to the House yet again (if Senate approves any further amendments).

But at least the senate bill will be in the bag, and that will be something.

"government healthcare is the best for America"

So says a Canadian who chose the image of Pierre Elliot Trudeau as his avatar, Trudeau, the killer of the notion that the 20th century belongs to Canada.

i was watching CNN just now. The Democrats said that they have 216 votes, the Republican said he didn't know whether they have the votes or not. So Democrats may well have the required number of votes.
