"Guys lets talk about Liberals and Cons, enough with steel cage."

There is nothing there that requires deep discussion, they are both tarred with the same brush, neither one is preferable to the other. Harper's "bacon" is saved for the time being mainly because he has no capable opponent and he seems to be acting somewhat responsible fiscally, by reducing personal income tax and giving lip service to employment through infra structure projects and incentives to do home renos. We don't give a hoot what his moral beliefs are. So I guess you could say for this week I'm Conservative but be prepared for a change by Monday.

Quite so, and I assume you don't give a hoot as to how much deficit and how much debt there is. That makes you a typical borrow and spend conservative, in my opinion.

Not to swell your head JLM, but the ability to look at the situation and change with the prevailing conditions is a sure sign of an intelligent and confident person.

I try, but this damn Liberal phobia of mine is a hard condition to shake! I will endeavour to follow your comments and suggestions, as I think I (and a few others) can benefit from this fine example of objectivity in our political discussions.

Just give up, countryboy. You are a life long Conservative and always will be. Stay true to your Messiah, life is easier that way. You don't have to think, he will do your thinking for you.

And the fact that you think that a borrow and spend conservative like JLM is objective really tells me where your political beliefs lie.

Porter, quit acting like that snot-nosed kid in school who stirred up trouble then ratted to the teacher. If someone posts something about you that you don't deem as worthy of you ... you tattle (and in one case threatened with legal action)

You seem to want to be both engine and caboose in this train wreck. Grow up!

Liberal phobia and the cause….

In case you are not aware of the fact, Liberals are not in power, your party (Conservatives) is. We are talking of Conservative hypocrisy here, government hypocrisy.

This Thread is titled: "Liberal phobia and the cause…." if I'm not mistaken...

Are you stating that Liberal phobia is due to Conservative hypocrisy, or is this
Thread off-topic? Just looking for clarification...

Discussion: "Consideration of a subject by a group; an earnest conversation"
discussion - definition of discussion by the Free Online Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia.

The Subject: ": "Liberal phobia and the cause..."

Could you please confine your comments to the subject at hand?

If I require advice from you - which is highly doubtful - I shall make a formal and polite request. Attempts to push me off track by raising non-pertinent points of opinion - which I call baiting - will be met with indifference by me. (Yawn)

Have a lovely day.

If a tune is good, I don't mind hearing it again and again. I probably have seen each Gilbert and Sullivan opera 15 or 20 times, they are still fresh and entertaining to me.

Good day SJP, .A popular saying "tell me the truth even if it hurts" a phrase many Canadians are asking from the Conservatives today, not flowery stories, and usually the guy with the bad act as last resort, puts out a flowery story in an effort to convince the audience on the bad act.

The phobia voters experience towards the Liberals is unwarranted, when we see the history of both parties in office, the people of this country have voted 69 times in favour of the Libs and 20 times in favour of the Conservatives.
So this phobia is a cyclical event every so many years and as I said longer on the Liberal hands then on the Conservative political hands people make a change. That change is around the corner.
Risus likes the opposite, Tell me a flowery story so I can give you my vote even if your flowery story is a lie and sends me to the poor house.

Liberal phobia and the cause….

Forty-One Posts, in the last day alone have been removed, and several
that had Name-Calling and Personal Attacks where edited.. This Thread
turned into a cesspool of blatant Trolling....and was removed from the
Public View until it could be cleaned up.

Unfortunately....at 42 pages in length....We only made it through the last
day (8 pages at about 25 posts per page on average), so only the last 200
postings. We don't even pretend to have gotten everything...just most of
it from the last day.

This Thread will now be reviewed daily, Reported posts or not. Govern
yourselves accordingly.

I, too, would like to see that, as shutting this thing down daily every evening
and then taking a Rotor-Rooter to it every evening is tedious at best...and
has gotten beyond something anyone would wish to finish their day up with.

If this Thread has to be shut down AGAIN to clean out more Trolling
and Personal Attacks and so on and so forth...keep in mind that the
Thread may just remain closed. As was said before, in this Thread,
Govern yourselves....

Hi Ron although I do respect the rules, in my opinion maybe the guys who are constantly agitating rather then contributing should be given notice 3 strikes you are out. Instead of shutting down democracy and taking the fun out of the people who would like to bring things to political prospective.

This, Ron, is not a discussion; it's a ping-pong game.

The sh*t I've noticed travelling back and forth is a little heavier than any ping pong ball I've ever seen. One of the problems here (and I know I'm guilty of it too at times) is the same sh*t being repeated over and over 47 times. To summarize so it never again has to be repeated
1. People who live in Alberta are Conservatives period.
2. Conservatives are religious
3. Conservatives are hypocrites
4. Harper has borrowed trillion of dollars and squandered every penny and it will take our children and grandchildren 3,000 years to pay it back.
5. Every Liberal since 1492 has run a surplus.
6. The four greatest things the Liberals have done is
a) The Charter (bigger than the Magna Carta, the Declaration of Independence and the Gettysburg Address combined)
b) Legalized abortions
c) legalized gay marriage
d) outlawed capital punishment
7. (Off topic) but we've heard it 61 times - Sarah Palin is a Joan of Arc accolyte.

I think anyone who repeats any of the above should be banned from the forum for 15 years.

JLM, pal all good, here is the reason I have a Conservative phobia.
Now, if you think I should turn a blind eye to political thugary and totally disregard the blunders the current Government is embarrassed by, I won’t because they are fragments of the dismal report card the Conservatives have to show for them self’s in the past 4 years.

Cabinet minister 'thinks his tequila is more important than treating people fairly,' critic says

I am not the guy who likes to walk on a carpet that has garbage underneath it, one, it makes me realize that the owner of that carpet is not tightly and two, is bad for my feet. So, Yes there is lots of bad things when you open the Conservative report card.

At least if we are citizens that care we will talk about the bad Government of their bad performance, and trust that process, the more publicity the quicker the change.

And change we need.

Harper and his Conservatives are like day and night when it comes to remembering that they got in on the premise that they are a clean Government.
Well, I know, and many others know the are not.

Now, if the truth hurts, maybe you are happier to receive a lie then the truth. No offence, but my phobia towards the Conservatives is warranted, when you see the sh!t that comes up through their pipe.

Get the pic? When somebody elevates any of them to the status of gods, perhaps it's time to examine their own grip on reality.

Yes and when the glibs were in there was a lot of that, government hypocricy. Don't try to put your lame spin on things.
