If someone is wearing a niqab and is caught shoplifting, do they get charged with wearing a disguise while committing a crime and do they get to leave it on for the mug shot?

Must take off Niqab

Sometimes, it's incredibly erotic.

Very true. But here is a question. Last summer, I was loading up my car trunk with groceries, and a woman beside me was filling up her car with her groceries as well. She was dressed in head to toe with the Niqab, even had on black gloves. She was driving, and so I would assume that she had her face on her drivers license. Now were she stopped by a policeMan, would she show her face to him to match her license? - or would she insist that a policeWoman be called to check out her ID? The question is, and in all fairness to these families upon arriving here, we need to be clear one way or the other about facial identity of Canadian citizens. Are we required to or not? And if not, than those who feel strongly about their customs can make a decision to come to Canada or not? These situations are now arising and we will get more of them as time goes on. In everyday life fine, but it becomes cumbersome when it comes to official identity.

I should be allowed to wear a ski mask when i go to the corner store to buy smokes :lol::lol:
That's a bit like the old British (I think) adage that one should never shake hands with an American who keeps his other hand in his pocket. Trust issues and all that stuff.

Very funny!! I suppose the cops would say that they have seen it all, but this would be a good one. Best to let this shoplifter go, rather than create a national debate. Involving the idiots on the hill, human rights, and gawd knows what all. That would be a real eye-roller and shoulder shrugger.

Canada is furthering the cause of secularism in the world by not being a weakling toward the niqab. The Scientific Revolution proved there is no g/God, so the secular state must resist all attempts that religions make that force govts to adapt to its practices. People are free to practice their religion but not impose demands on govt to make it adapt to them.

Businesss too should have the option of not permitting religious symbols such as turbans to be worn in the workplace if it has no functional necessity to the job. Religous garb or ornaments have no use in themselves.

Not catering to religion is progress. Asian ideas need to be pushed off the agenda in Canada because they are not progressive. Asia can keep its tradition and not export it to a modern country like Canada.

It would be interesting to simply walk around downtown wearing a ski mask, and see how long it was before you get arrested, or at the very least, hassled.

You could always explain that you're thinking of becoming a muslim woman, and want to try it out.
