Obviously, the rich are not adequately taxed in BC if they can afford cars like this. Oh, taxes are too high, we'll move offshore. Sure buddy, go to Mexico, North Korea, Jordan or Nigeria. Pick'em.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars North America is pleased to announce the appointment of a dealership in Vancouver. This will be the only Rolls-Royce dealer in Vancouver and one of only two Rolls-Royce dealers in Canada.

Opening in the fall of 2009, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Vancouver will initially have a showroom in an historic warehouse conversion in Yaletown. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Vancouver will be operated by the Fields Auto Group, which employs over 130 employees at their premium automotive dealerships in Canada. I would say that 'the rich' aren't taxed enough if they can afford to buy houses in Vancouver.

Depends on when you bought the house TenPenny. My son and his wife bought a house in Vancouver about eight years ago. I think they paid in the region of 250 grand. They've done a lot of work on the house and they could likely get well over half a million for it now but that's a paper game.

The rich aren't taxed enough? That's just as dumb a comment as saying the poor should get off their butts and work; some should but some can't. The rich pay more than half the private income tax collected in Canada. IMO, they can have their Rolls and Bentleys. Not all of them inherit their money; Jim Pattison, for instance earned his and he can spend it how he wants, IMO.

It wouldn't matter if the rich left or not. The problem is that they take their money and the jobs they create with them. Only a lazy socialist would say that the rich are not taxed enough.

The rich are not taxed enough, what other kind of evidence do you need? For example, plenty of people in BC think Health Care Premiums should be eliminated, which affects the middle class the most. Yeah right, only the "rich" create jobs.
