Gilbert these cars are away out of my price range. If you can find an Astin Martin Lagonda, you are likely to pay a hundred and fifty pounds or more.
I'd love to pay $300 for a Lagonda. lol

The TVR is a bit better but still pricey by my standards.

On the other hand a mint condition Austin Healey 3000 will not be cheap either. Not long ago I saw a 1962 3000 in a Vancouver paper for #24,000.00...That is almost five times what the original owner paid for it.
Yup. And I'd like to have the Hemi Cuda our ex-neighbor has or had. They only go for $5 million.
Is there something in the OP that says there's a maximum price range on what we'd like to have?

Sorry...Obviously I should have written a hundred and fifty thousand pounds

As far as the ordinary Plymouth Barracudas go. Aren't most of them rusted to dust by now..

I would imagine a lot of Barracudas and Cudas were crunched by dolts who had no idea how to handle them, a few rusted, a few survived intact, and a few were restored. the Hemi Cuda I was referring to was the 1970 droptop Hemi Cuda. Freakin rare beast. 14 were made.

That "black thing" is about a 2000 Mazda Miata
Oh. Looked kind of like Maxwell Smart's Sunbeam but maybe not quite as stylish.

Ahh A Sunbeam Tiger
Who would look at a pretty little car like that and guess it had an old flat head Ford V-8 in it.

What I can see, the flatheads were ended in 1953, the Tiger came out in '64 and used a 260 cubic inch OHV engine.

Sunbeam Tiger I - Motorbase

Techno Source for the 1932 thru 1953 Flathead Ford

Dad has a cousin that is a Ford nut. He had a 1950 Merc, black with a white droptop, flathead V8. It went pretty good for an old beast till it was messed up by packrats. He threw a molotov cocktail in it. Broke my heart. I would have fixed it with Les's help.

I like what Les says about most cars these days, "they look like giant electric razors". Style has become passe, I guess. lol There are exceptions, though. Chrysler's Challenger, Ford's 'Stangs, etc.

Here is my '48 Merc p/u that I built from the ground up. Stock flat head, candy blue and flat black. The racks are hinged, the flat deck made from fir and cedar. 18" rims with Bandag retreads with logging truck treads. It's dirty in the pic cause I lived 30 miles up a logging road and three miles up an old skid road.

Those old things had style. These days it's hard to tell the difference between pickups. They all look like big versions of children's Transformers toys.
I'd much rather have one of these:

than one of these:

our 1997 ford 4x4 diesel single cab pick up, (black & silver) ford tough mud flaps, sun visor, -has style, last model before
the 'NEW LOOK' pickups, which have 'no' look.
I like all of those 'old' pickups too, to look at, but they were too small inside, we
used to drive around an old international, neatest truck around, but cab was too
small, box was too small.
We've had many people ask if they could buy it. Our oldest daughter has first dibs.

You mean box sizes like those Ford things that look like a SUV with a rumble seat (without the seat part) in back? I looked at one a friend has and laughed.

I think M Smarts Sunbeam was the Alpine model not the Tiger..

I couldn't remember what year they ditched the pop-up headlights....A feature I really liked on the Miata. The Alpine wasn't a bad sports car but like all the Roots Group offerings, the parts could have come from anywhere. Adding that Ford engine gave it more acceleration but the weight of that V-8 did not help the handling

Fortunately or unfortunately after 7yrs of ownership that was my last ride in the little roadster, a Montreal to Florida and back journey that explored a lot of the Smokey Mountain back roads including the Blue Ridge parkway, Family commitments demanded a more practical car..:sad2:
