And then there's the rhetoric.

Again, predictable.

Look petros, I'm no financial guru, by any stretch of the imagination. But I do have a pretty good idea of what's going and why. Particularly in the Canadian market. Due entirely to my Mom.

The housing market, which is tied to the lending market is always a fair indicator to how things are doing.

Just because Canadian banks sell off MBS's, doesn't mean that the very real and very stringent requirements and criteria of our banking systems are not attached.

Again evidenced in the fact that not one financial institution in Canada has folded, as we have seen elsewhere in the world. This should be applauded, in fact, other countries have been investigating adopting our systems, or some manifestation thereof.

But hey, if you want to wallow in paranoia, doom and thoughts of catastrophes, feel free. I think I'll just go on living and enjoying the day.
Rhetoric eh?

500 years years of taking it up the ass and there you are front of the line jumping up and down about getting some shiny buttons and a pint of whiskey. Right on!

Well ya, I worked for it. I earn a decent wage for what I do. I've come a long way from the Rez. I need no one to support me and my hobbies. I'll pay my own way.

You know what's funny?

I can't figure out who I feel more sorry for. Those that think all Native are lazy scum bags, or those that think we are all completely hard done by.

I read a question once, posted on another site. Why can immigrants to Canada become business owners and thrive financially in one r two generations, if not sooner, but Natives seem stuck?

There's been much banter back and forth over that question...I'm still looking for an answer that doesn't take away my self esteem and responsibility.

And yes petros, if you aren't supplying truck loads of minutia to argue about, you're babbling on with your rhetoric.

What p*sses me off are those "few" indians that do "make it"...then whine and bitch about the steriotyping, but do sweet p*ss al to help 'their people". Once off the "rez" it's every man for himself.

If you don't like me pointing out that all of us are now being offered shiny buttoms and whiskey and all in the same boat and you KNOW that as fact.

I'm sorry you easily fall for the news "stories" which are ****ty spit polish on buttons that no longer shine and the whiskey isn't domestic.

If we had a national housing program like we did once upon a time where both market and housing value benefitted then perphaps I'd get excited about the buttons too.

Even that is dated.

I've worked with the feds in resources and have been hired by bands to do private resource assesying and now instead of easy deals with shiny buttons there are native lawyers out there tearing the **** out of the laws and negotiating deals to be the global button suppliers.

Times are changing and if these native lawyer have their way we will see a second national canadian corporation take form and I back them 100%.

The illusion of rule by current law if fading fast.

Sure, whatever you say petros. We're all being lulled into slavery by shiny buttons and whiskey. I have a good life, the healthcare system saved it recently and besides having most of what I want, I have all I need to be comfy and have fun as I take my turn riding the turtle.

I'm sorry you easily fall for the news "stories" which are ****ty spit polish on buttons that no longer shine and the whiskey isn't domestic.
Ya, for sure. I actually used the news to counter the dumb in the OP. I work in the industry, still gainfully employed and watching orders come in daily. I have no worries, I usually go by what I can actually see to make my judgements.

If we had a national housing program like we did once upon a time where both market and housing value benefitted then perphaps I'd get excited about the buttons too.
Sure, then someone else would get rich at the expense of someone else.

It's cyclical and socialist ideals are not immune to capitalist infestations.

Like a said before it pays to take good care of your livestock.

The harder working mules always geta little more oats and a fresh bed of hay, while the master sleeps indoors on a bed of nice warm baby goose feathers. (In Germany apparently)

Someone else wil get them? Who? The German?

Well ya, it's called competition. It's healthy, that's how we can identify the cream of the crop from the chaff. Only socialist scum applaud and foster chaff.

(In Germany apparently)
I work in Scarborough Ontario Canada, so I wouldn't know.
Someone else wil get them? Who? The German?
If you make that a little more coherent, I might be able to answer it.

Like those who set up shop on the rez and give back to their people to give them more social and finacial worth? Yeah that could never work nationally or for you personally because everyone except you and your foreign owner are scum and lazy. Cream of the crap.

Though existent, few and far between.

Yeah that could never work nationally or for you personally because everyone except you and your foreign owner are scum and lazy.
Of course it has the potential to fail nationally, as soon as you install a human to the helm, you risk corruption. As for me personally, you have no idea what my business practices were like when I owned my own business. Suffice it to say, my ex associates are still my friends today. That says enough about how I am at the helm for me and mine. Your opinion matters not.

Cream of the crap.
Between you, gopher and DB, ya, I'd say you are the cream of the crap. ;-)

Hey. I'm not the one who is boasting of my achievements seeking approval from who knows who in regards to my culture or background who are apparently "lazy scum" as you put it.

No walls eh?

Yeah right.
