Good Day to you Socrates!!! I've never seen a Political Poll before
that didn't have a column for the percentage of undecided voters...
I've added up the percentages, and it's 100%. Trippy....8O

Great day to you Ron, I think the other night on CBC it was mentioned that the undecided vote could give either party a landslide majority. Hard to believe that the majority of the country will say YE BEAT ME, BEAT ME AND MAKE ME WRIGHT BAD CHEQUES.

33.5% Libs
32.3% Cons
15.1% NDP
10.4% Bloq
8.7% Greens
100% So statistically, with over 10,000 people Polled, the undecided
must be "0.0?%" in order not to count and have 100% accounted for in
the Parties tallies. That wouldn't be enough to swing anything. Could
the CBC have been talking about the "Margin of Error" in the Poll itself
being large enough to give either Party the lead?

Conventional wisdom dictates that people make choices based on conscious, informed thought and careful weighing of information. In this 2009 Canadian federal election the Canadian undecided voter should take stoke of past Liberal economics VS Conservative economics, the Canadian political history is before all Canadians, the Liberals are the Champions or Stanley cup holders of economics. This 2009 vote will be an IQ test for the undecided voters. $100 Billion projected 5 year operating debt is something to give some serious consideration too.

This I think, is a later poll:

Committed Voters - Canada (N=893, MoE ± 3.3%, 19 times out of 20)

  • Liberal Party 36% (+3)
  • Conservative Party 33% (-1)
  • NDP 13% (-3)
  • BQ 10% (NC)
  • Green Party 8% (+1)
  • (*Note: Undecided 11%)
Either of the top parties would get no more than a bare minority unless they were able to swing the undecided voters.

Calling a man you never met or know a "a bag o' shyte" and sharing that thought on this forum is hardly to be taken with sarcasm, but rather an indication of some deep dislike on a man you don’t know because of his political affiliation, now to make me look like I am out to lunch, because of my protest, you have demonstrated how you hit and run.

As Cannuck said, I never called him a bag o' shyte. I don't know what you mean by hit and run, and I don't know why you would assume I spoke with sarcasm, because I was serious.
I'm not making you look out to lunch, you're doing a fine job of that on your own.
As far as a dislike for John Turner, well, I don't have any, I was simply noting that he looks like he's aging poorly. If I had known you two were dating, I may have chosen my words more carefully.

I await your apology.

They're not actually dating though they probably would if it were up to STG. I'm sure he has posters of Turner in his room.

Good evening Jonny, hey if I mistook your humor I do apologize, politics makes strange bed fellows, wording at times can be lethal, “ageing poorly” sounds great to the norm, in public commenting about a man who did nothing wrong, saying he looks like a bag of poopoos, I would save that for happy hour.

You are doing what the Conservatives are doing. If you think Iggy is a good man than explain why. Running down Harper doesn't make Iggy look impressive, just like the Conservatives attacking Iggy doesn't hide Harper's mistakes.

Far from presenting a fresh direction, Iggy seems like more of the same to me. Nothing I have seen or heard from him has shown me that he cares one iota for Canada. Wanting to believe it doesn't make it so.

Politics used to be about service to the community. It is no longer.
I agree. I am not impressed with either, and I would be just as unimpressed if both were from off planet.
That leads me to add to your last comment that society iteslf used to be about benefiting the people. That's no longer true either.

I would. It'd take death or something close to it to pry me away from this area. A friend of ours was a food scientist with 2 PhDs and consulted all over the world. He was one of 4 in the field at that time. You know where he looked, found work, and settled? Summerland, BC. I think the population back then was between 2 and 4000 people.

Trust the Conservatives to get attack ads out faster than they can deliver their promised stimulus funding.

SOC,

It's too easy... Afterall, Iggy and the liberals have offered-up a bounty of opportunities with which to 'educate' the Canadian public relative to exactly what kind of ego-maniacal, back-stabbing opportunist the Iggy is.

Here's a site for you to check out... It offers the truth about Dear Leader for your own educational purposes.
