"We forgot to mention Colin Powell, seems he is trying to get back in the good graces of the Republican party. Challenging Rush Limbaugh. I still cannot believe that anyone could consider Rush Limbaugh as leader of the party."

Colin Powell's most enduring legacy is standing in front of those maps of Iraq and pointing to all the places Saddam Hussain was supposed to have hidden weapons of mass destruction. He did that with appropriate glee and loyalty to the Bush Administration, in which he served as Secretary of State and Security Advisor. All his seemingly futile efforts are in order to distance himself from the President he pledged alligence to but had no trouble to stab in the back, when the opportunity was ripe to support a charismatic punk for nothing but (half) race.

Then the unthinkable happened: a charismatic half-breed punk who chose to be black in spite that anything black in his life dropped him like yesterday's garbage, became the nomineee of the Presidency. He knew what he was doing: if you are black you are immune to criticism, because all those who dare to criticize you are RACISTS.

As one half-breed to another what else could Powell do?

What else? Give up principles as weak-spined and calculating people usually do.

Rush Limbaugh has ten times the character, the strength and the integrity of Powell.

"Sorry Yukon Jack, but I sill think I am right about the phrase ‘verbal diarrhea’ (that you borrowed it from me)."

What breath-taking arrogance!!

So, I aquiesce: you are indeed the champion - undisputed - of VERBAL DIARRHEA.

One word from you is proof enough.

That depends upon one’s point of view, Yukon Jack. If one is a right wing extremist, no doubt what you say is true. However, most reasonable people regard Limbaugh, the moron on loan from Christian God as an extreme right wing (convicted drug addict) blowhard, who is trying to take the Republican Party (of which he is the de facto leader) to the extreme right, much further to the right than Reagan or Goldwater.

OK, so we agree, you borrowed the phrase from me (consciously or subconsciously).

IMHO.......WAY out of line, Yukon. Black has nothing to do with it, and half-breed is just ....not.....on........

You are discrediting conservatives with this kind of attack.

It makes Sir Joseph look good.........and that is simply scary. please desist.

BTW, I thought you were on SJP's "most ignored" list???

"BTW, I thought you were on SJP's "most ignored" list???"

Maybe I was, but he can't ignore me.

The arrogant punk can't seem to realize that he is not the center of the universe.

I acknowledged that he was the undisputed champion of verbal diarrhea.

In his convoluted, chronologically challenged, arrogant mind he considered that a compliment.

Go, figure!!

BTW Colpy, what I said about Powell and Obama may not be politically correct, it is true. When I stop being politically incorrect, THEN I may make SirJosephPorter look good.

OK, so we agree that you stole (borrowed would be giving too much credit to an arrogant punk) any phrase from anyone that you disagree with.

Your grasping at sraws for credibility you lost forever is more than just breathtaking.

It not only borders on stupid, it IS stupid. And conceited beyond belief.

Re #223.

Colin collapsed under the politically correct weight of reverse racism.

Limbaugh had the spine and character to stick by what he believes in.

If Limbaugh had had a wife who was a doctor who had the power and the authority to prescribe any amount of any drug for any real or imaginery pain, he would not have had to go find another source to ease the pain unimaginable to blowhards who never had a pain more than a hangnail. I guess you never have to worry about becoming an addict. Your wife, and shortly, your son will be prescribing to you all the drugs you need. Hopefully ther will be some for mental deficiency.

SirJosephPorter, before you label a person you do not know, who you never met, who has, in any respect, at least ten times the honesty, dignity and integrity as you, an ADDICT, perhaps you should shut the hell up and reflect.

No, Colin gave up on a corrupt presidency and knew he was better off without it.

Limabaugh is an entertainer, you understand that, right?

"Limabaugh is an entertainer, you understand that, right?"

So, what is the left-wing desparation of declaring Limbaugh the Boss?

Sorry Yukon Jack, but I have no respect for a person who claims to be on loan from his Christian God, who has spent his life ranting and raving against drug users, who has demanded stiff prison sentences for drug users time and again, and who is eventually discovered to be a drug user himself.

Rather than fight to clear his name in the courts, he copped a plea and managed to stay out of prison. It was an example of rank hypocrisy. But then as I have said many times, many conservatives are not bothered by hypocrisy, most of them don’t even understand the concept (so he has spent al his life trashing, badmouthing drug users, and it turns out he is one of them, so what is the big deal?).

I wonder if he still is demanding stiff prison sentences for drug users. I haven’t listened to him for a long time now, but it wouldn’t surprise me if he does. As I said, conservatives don’t understand the concept of hypocrisy.

It is not the left wingers who have declared Limbaugh the boss; it is the far right republican base which has made him the de facto leader of the Republican Party. It has nothing to do with left wingers; they have no say in who is the leader of the Republican Party.

I think Limbaugh is a blow hard but the Obama Administration sure gives him a lot of attention.

It is in their interest to do so, EagleSmack. If Limbaugh can be established as the de facto leader of the Republican Party, as the real power behind the throne, it becomes much easier to paint all republicans as dangerous, right wing extremists.

And Republicans do indeed play into that. Most of the far right base really do regard Limbaugh as the real dealer of the Republican Party; they don’t like Steele or any of the Congressional Republicans.

Indeed, the far right base has turned against most of the public figures which they held in high esteem until just recently. One is Colin Powel. He used to be popular with the base, (until Limbaugh trashed him). Florida governor Crist used to be popular with the Republican base, now his name is mud. The far right base thinks he is too moderate and they are running a far right candidate against him in Florida primary (for the Senate seat).

Republican base is moving more and more to the extreme by leaps and bounds, so it is not really all that difficult to portray Limbaugh as the de facto leader of the party.

Limbaugh is a talk radio host... on from 12pm to 3pm... Monday to Friday.

That is all.

The Democrat paranoia is endless to suggest that he sits on any throne.

Boy does he shiver their timbers!
