I am perfectly content with being me and living my own life. I get my rewards by helping whoever I can help and seeing what I can see. When I die, I die. Time for all the parts of me to become parts of other things. That is my reincarnation and I think it's cool. Anything else, IMO is all a bunch of guesswork and a lot of people spend their lives guessing a lot. I am content letting life be life and death be death and I make life as much fun as I can. I even enjoy pain once in a while and apathy is my enemy. I hope I never become apathetic.

I hope I never become apathetic.

That is a complete disconnect from life and the living. I have no sympathy for someone who is a victim of abuse or illness. But I do have empathy. Sympathy to me is just enabling someone to continue to be a victim. Empathy allows me to feel their pain without encouraging them to continue. It gives us an emotional detachment. We can offer a hand up without climbing down into the whole they have gotten into.

I'll try to remember to keep my eyes dry should you ever become ill or abused.
The 2nd sentence just might be your ticket to the hard road should my God be looking for a pound of flesh for deeds that are worthless.

Jas:2:15:
If a brother or sister be naked,
and destitute of daily food,
Jas:2:16:
And one of you say unto them,
Depart in peace,
be ye warmed and filled;
notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body;
what doth it profit?
Jas:2:17:
Even so faith,
if it hath not works,
is dead, being alone.

Perhaps if I had said something like "Jonah 4:15 Good pun, Mhz. Hacked into pisces by a machete." you may have paid better attention? lol
Let's say I'm a little of leary of some posters, had you put it that way I would have know it was troll-bait as Jonah:4 only has 11 verses. LOL
I do see how you connected and yes it was by accident on my part.

I can understand that. I know we don't agree on some things but I still can respect those I disagree with, and even joke with them. I didn't even remember the Bible has a book of Jonah, I was just thinking Jonah was the guy swallowed by a fish so his name seemed appropo to the pun. :D

Well I had to look up how many verses Ch:4 had, lol.
A short book, take you 10 minutes to read. Dressing up the animals in sackcloth was funny as was Jonah's confusion about the city being saved rather than destroyed.

You think you are on fire because your giddiness makes you impervious to reality. I am actually happy that you are so enraptured by your fantasy. I just hope the hangover isn't too severe.

If God doesn't exist, then EVERY person throughout history who has had a spiritual experience was wrong.

Possible? Yes.

Plausible? No.

Father, I lift Cliffy up to you. thankyou for convicting his spirit. Thank you for warming his heart and giving him new understanding. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

A little Freudian slip, there alley? I never said that there is no higher intelligence. I said the bible is fallible and that the image of god it portrays is a work of fiction. As Mark Twain said..."and man created god in his own image."

I personally have had many spiritual experiences so no, they are not wrong. I just interpret them differently than you do. My understanding of spirituality is different from yours, just like my view of the bible and the war god of the desert.

I find it funny that you put down the door to door religious sales men on the other thread, but think it is OK for you to come on here and pitch your evangelical dogma. A little hypocritical, no!?
