Sure- the question is ridiculous, it's like asking "why should people keep walking into the lake and drowning. Answer- "WTF is the imperative??"
In osme peoples minds it would seem the "mission" in Afghanistan makes some kind of sense- I can't really converse with these people, sadly, since to me the thing has been an immense, unnecessary waste of time, money and lives (lives on both sides tho HEAVILY weighted on the Afghan civilian side)
I would have thought that the bloodthirsty loudmouths would eventually se th futility of our involvement there as the value of "9-11" faded like all other trends, but no, somehow there's still some kind of point to it. I see none, and I have never seen a single convincing explanation as to why it is the way it is, just a bunch of pathetic patriotic BS.
