With the Liberals and NDP behaving as they are, do you foresee an increase in voting for independent left-leaning candidates in the next election?

Granted the left is diverse. Just take me for example. Though I'd consider myself quite left-leaning in some areas, I'm an economic and moral conservative that could put the conservatives to shame. Inversely, I'm more of an internationalist than the NDP.
But this is why I could see a rise of the independent left: specifically for those leftists who do not identify with the traditional left-leaning parties, but who obviously could not vote Conservative either.
To some degree the Green party has filled this void (the Greens are quite economically conservative too though socially leftist to some degree). But I suppose that's the question. Will the Green party succeed? If not, non-conventional leftist independent candidates might witness some success.

I think you're going to have to get over a lot of "Church - new-money/unionist - socialist roots before Libz/NDP can make a compromise.
That would be the good thing about the independent left. As independent candidates, they'd have no such baggage.

1) I would like one green party MP voted in, I think it would be a great step for the cause.
2) Do you really think right now as they stand they have the experience to lead Canada? I personally don't, that doesn't mean I wouldn't want them as part of the government and wouldn't want them to disappear.
Is that simple enough for you? Or do i need to baby feed it?
