And why would you be different to any greater extent than simply not knowing that? I think I'm missing your point here. It's trivially true that knowing something makes you different than you'd be if you didn't know it. So what? In most cases the difference it makes is equally trivial. You've known for most of your life that there are nine solar planets, then Pluto got officially demoted last year and now there are only eight. What real difference does that make?

Well, I don't know about you, but it caised me to research a bit and now I know more about the classification of celestial bodies (among other things) than I did before. I have no idea if I'll ever need the info for anything, but at least I'm not curious about it anymore.
From an astrological point of view, Pluto's demotion doen't make much of a difference.
The astrological view implies the idea that every single part of the universe has an effect on the rest. The question is whether or not we are capable of understanding these relationships.

Well I guess the qualities of the time and place you live in will have a deep impact on what you are. Can we extend this influence to the whole universe?
Do you mean does the universe effect us or do we effect the universe? Can a butterfly flapping it's wings in Brazil cause a toronado in Kansas?
Not really: some of what I experience has a deep effect, some experiences are trivial.

I think Dexter was on to it a little ways back. It appears being born in a certain month determines what type of tree you are, or something to that effect. So the question is, how different would you be if you were born on February 28 as opposed to March 3 or something like that. How does that affect the personalities as listed by this website? For that matter how different can a person really be as a result of an extra 3-4 days in the womb? I mean it's obvious if we increase the difference, like a very premature baby compared to a late baby.

I really don't know much on celtic astrology but I do have a surprisingly good knowledge of traditional astrology. The problem with discussing this subject is that too often, astrology is reduced to a caricature of what it really is or at least what it should be; a symbolic language used to help us understand ourselves and our relationship to the greater structures of the universe.
The zodiac signs are but one aspect of astrology. Pop culture has swollen their importance (zodiac signs) to a ridiculous extent. While they are a vital part of the symbolical language, they cannot be dissociated from the whole of astrological methods and techniques.
That being said, the onus is certainly on astrology fans to prove its not a load of bull***, but an honest debate should at least consider astrology as a whole and not consider it for its caricatural use by pop culture.
