Just read an article on the financial post and in the article it was mentioned that Trudeau tried to sell the whole "spend spend spend" model to the G7 leaders...... None took the bait... It also mentioned that the USA and Britain took the cost saving route and have made gains against unemployment and have made major gains in cutting down their debts... It seems that with the USA and Britain as examples that fiscal austerity is the much better route than spend spend spend... It also mentions that the reckless spending leads to more taxes and if you live in Ontario you already know that gas for example has already seen 2 tax increases.... If it's not good enough for the G7 then it sure as he'll isn't good enough for Canadians
