I always wanted to ride in one of these. I wasn't in support so I never had the opportunity. I was always in the Amtraks with the rest of the Grunts during amphibious training. The hover craft come in after the initial landings and by then we were already pushing inland.

Nothing wrong with a Amtrak, I never rode in a hovercraft either, it was either the Amtrak, Choppers or the nasty/wet little Combat Rubber Reconnaissance Craft for me.

Same here. A hovercraft ride would have been sweet though!
