All he has are platitudes, talking points and deflection, lots and lots of deflection.
AND a budget that will take care of itself.

And of course we shouldn't be surprised the Liberals have danced jigs to avoid sitting down and actually showing the math on that, lol.Of course, we shouldn't be surprised that the Conservatives would have fudged the accounting for cheap political points on the way out of office.
Right now it is the only important financial conversation we aren't having.I do agree, all of this being said, that the Hon. Bill Morneau, P.C., M.P., the Minister of Finance, has not taken the right approach when asked for clarity on the budget timeframe and the projected deficit. The minister should simply explain that consultations are ongoing, announce a "ballpark" for the budget presentation. Let's end the speculation and move on to more important fiscal conversations.
The damage already done will take years to undo and what is left to come will affect us for even longer more. This is not a classroom, this is a huge country who's nucleus has been filled with inexperience people led by a person who thinks taking selfies makes him cool; all while we are loosing are shirts, our soldiers are being thrown too wolves and our budget is on hold!! And we are to invest our money here??
.
It's hard to learn when your mind has lost touch with reality.
You have to be able to identify reality before you can learn from it.
How can someone like Trudeau who never lived in the real world identify reality? We learn what we live - to know the real world one has to live in it.
"The Liberals inherited a struggling economy from the Conservatives..."
Nonsense. That would suggest that Canada is insulated from the world economy and is completely in control of our financial destiny.
"...and "creative" accounting from the outgoing Conservatives to come up with a magical surplus."
That's an unsubstantiated, cheap shot.
Of course, we shouldn't be surprised that the Conservatives would have fudged the accounting for cheap political points on the way out of office.
Another unsubstantiated, cheap shot.
This is politicking. There is discussion, and then there is unproven gainsaying.
I do not care which party you support, when you have a discussion, even if it is opinion, you should be able to validate your words. It's not a matter of saying, "This is your fault." and walking away.
The bombardier documents have been siting on trudeaus desk for 4 months without any decisive vision or plan from our prime minister. Is this normal that 7000 people just got layoff last Friday?

Bombardier has been there time and time again. Harper was facing a similar situation a decade ago when GM was going for a sh1t. You really have to study the situation CAREFULLY before you commit a king's ransom to a company that has had it's hand out several times, already. The fiasco with failure to deliver the new Toronto streetcars, along with a couple of years delay bringing the C-Series airliner to market suggest that this is not the best run company, around. Rewarding and reinforcing incompetence does not necessarily serve the public good, in the long run.
That's why Harper made the right decision to go after a resource economy. We are totally over our heads in the manufacturing. China is killing it.
The argument FOR companies like Bombardier and doing things like designing and building our own warships, airplanes is to maintain a strategic knowledge base of how to do complex, high tech things like designing and building advanced aircraft. All of the great nations of the world, without of exception, know how to do these things.
This is not "simple mnasnufacturing" that goes to to China. That's toasters and Dollars Store crap. This is leading edge tech and it is what separates the wheat from the chaff. Besides, mnasnufacturing jobs of wall types but particularly very high tech ones pay really, really well. Their paycheques generate all sorts of tiers of economic activity around them that adds up to a sophisticated, first world economy. Resource extraction comes close (but does not exceed) that kind of economic clout for a small number of us but a service sector economy only will leave us all poor paupers.
The difference between Canada having this sort of activity going on in our country and not is whether we want to be a smart leader among nations, or a mediocre consumer of someone else's smarts.
You mean,,like a poser???LOLTrudeau government starting to live dangerously: Hébert
There comes a time in the life of a government when it declines to fish or cut bait at its own peril. There is mounting evidence that Justin Trudeau’s Liberal government has reached the point where it is living dangerously.

Well gee whiz, ya think? That's what happens when all you had were platitudes and talking points. No plan, no meat, no substance, no leadership.
We all have to remember that Trudeau has 4 years to keep the majority of his promises. Unlike the Conservatives who forgot the concept that Canada belongs to all Canadians.
